Spark My Muse

The Dynamic Duo - my sweet buds, Adam Narloch and John Williamson of the Deconstructionists Podcast are BACK to unpack, recap, and madcap with me about their time with the one and only, Jack Caputo (John D. Caputo). There is SO MUCH to enjoy in this conversation: Deconstruction explained like you've never heard it before. Plus, the wisdom they gleaned from Caputo, so-called "Weak Theology", gems from the work of Jacques Derrida, the nature of desire, the insistence (versus the existence) of God, wrestling with scripture, the hope and orthodoxy present in deconstructing itself, and so MUCH more. It's a lively and hopeful episode. I love these guys.

***not to be missed*** The SHOW NOTES at SparkMyMuse.com of this episode. All the books, people, podcasts, etc mentioned in the show are there with luscious QUICK LINKS for you to dig in, learn more, and enjoy. It took a long time to put these together for all you wonderful listeners, so please check them out and make use of them!

I appreciate the social shares, the iTunes ratings and reviews, and the donations coming into to support this show! If you feel a little guilty about listening for a while now, but not pitching in, ever...well, I know that pit in the stomach feel. Clear your conscience. It will feel AMAZING to help. And $5, $10, or $50 for the whole year is quite the bargain, am I right? AND THIS SUMMER (through September 2016) ****After you give something. Use the hashtag #SparktheSPARK and tweet me and I'll tweet you something hilarious to say "thank you".

(To give go to SparkMyMuse.com and use the paypal donate button or support at any amount monthly at https://patreon.com/sparkmymuse)

Now heard in 157 COUNTRIES and Sparking up the iTunes Podcast charts thanks to YOU. If you have suggestions, questions, or you just want to say hello, find me on Twitter @lisadelay

Today is a treat: a piece from my friend Dr. Doug Jackson. I found these modern rendition of an all too often overlooked parable retold seven times in our context. It moved me deeply and I wanted to share it with you. I'm doing that with permission and the show notes ( find those at SparkMyMuse.com ) will have a link for you to read this piece yourself slowly and carefully to ruminate properly with it. It's powerful. We should absorb it. I want to because I have too long or too often not seen people as I should. Maybe you have too. It's a refreshing reminder.

You will see a donate button in the show notes. I'm being more forward about asking for financial help these days because my costs are going up. Any amount helps, but no amount at all has big consequences. To support monthly at any amount and get in on extras, check out the membership site https://patreon.com/sparkmymuse

SPARK MY MUSE is now heard is 157 COUNTRIES each Wednesday and Friday! Subscribe and download episodes so you don't miss a thing. An AMAZING summer line up and a mind-blowing Autumn guest list is something I'm practically squealing with delight about.

Thanks for sharing this show with friends, talking about the topics with your homies (you have "homies" right?), rating the show on iTunes, and contributing financially to keep it rolling along!

Be a Shining SPARK in your world.
