Speak the Language Podcast

In this bonus episode we will be talking about a topic that cannot be over-emphasized. Practice. It may seem rudimentary, but I'm telling you because of all the practice we did, we came to Africa more confidently than I have ever approached any other hunt. In this episode we will break down exactly what we did, the drills, the numbers, and why we did all of it. Check it out!

Since our recent episodes about safari and Africa we had a lot of inquiries about booking, travel logistics, and just some general guidelines about do's and don'ts for international hunts. Look, I get it. If you haven't done it, it can seem intimidating but with the right preparation it is very doable.

I hope you find this helpful and if any of you have more questions or think I didn't cover something, reach out

It may be the doldrums of a long, hot summer but there is still plenty going on in the world of wildlife. For instance: they culled hundreds of urban geese in Alabama for a disgruntled HOA, Mississippi has new public land, a man in Georgia broke a blue gill record, and what are supposed to think of data centers? check it out!

In this special bonus episode we will dive into the untold hunting story of Lacey's Nyala from our recent safari in Zululand. If you can't tell, we have become completely obsessed with African wildlife, African wilderness, and African hunting. Frankly, we think you should be too. We hope you enjoy it. Check it out!

Jordan got a new old truck, There is a huge python wrangling competition in Florida, red snapper season is in peril for recreational anglers, and Jordan has a new method for managing land in WRE tracts. Check it out!

Believe us when we say, we just returned from the most incredible hunting trip of our lives so far- and luckily for us, we got the opportunity to take our wives! In this episode, we have a full-on discussion, debrief, and breakdown of our incredible time in Zululand hunting buffalo, kudu, Nyala, and other things, seeing sights we have never seen before and getting life experiences you simply cannot replicate anywhere else other than the dark continent! I promise this is worth a listen! Check it out!

Jordan I just got back- as in, got back yesterday- from a week-long safari in Zululand with Garry Kelly Safaris. I am not exaggerating when we say it was a life-changing experience. In this episode we talk with Cullen Kelly and Murray Clayton, our to PHs (professional hunters) for this trip about some of the adventures and hunts we got into. The most important part of this conversation to me, however, is when we go over some of the biggest and common misunderstanding about African hunting, especially in South Africa. Whatever you're up to, I can promise this one is worth bending your ear. Heck, you may even hear Jordan talk about getting charged by an elephant. Check it out!

Plot twist! We are not in Africa.....yet. boy, oh boy did the news stack up quick before our departure though. In this episode, we'll cover crooked politics, turkey egg eating lizards from Argentina, and a new hunting season being opened in Louisiana. Check it out!

Summertime is here but do not fret, my friends, there is still plenty to get into and talk about. The Mississippi Alligator hunt draw is upon us, and unbeknownst to us, there is a fair amount of controversy around that process and the hunt itself. There was a new record set for Channel Catfish. Lastly, and the most unsettling news, there was a recent bust of a cockfighting ring in Mississippi. Wild times. Check it out!
