What if you get hundreds or maybe thousands of links to your law firm website but not RELEVANT? You're toasted! Lots of SEO companies offer such link building services that they'll get you 500 or 1000 links to your site for $XYZ. You need to stay away from these kinds of offers because you might get links to your law firm website from a pet shop or a grocery shop, mobile phones shop, etc. These links are junk. A Quality and Relevant link; even if it's just ONE, would be a links from a bankruptcy lawyer in Chicago to you DUI/ Criminal Defense/ Personal Injury website from Denver. This One link would hold more importance than those 1000 non-relevant links.
If you're aiming to have more potentials visiting your law firm website, and do not have quality relevant links, you're day dreaming.

Almost every other attorney is saying same things over and over again. The laws are same, penalties are same, everything is same but you have to stand out in the crowd and make your content readable and interesting. Laws and statutes are boring. People don't read them. Lots of attorneys ask, "What are the best keywords for my market?" Let's clear this myth – Keywords do not matter for yours market. Attorneys are not in the branded market like McDonald's or Toco Bell. People tend to search on themes of their legal matter for instance, they don't search for "Los Angeles DUI Lawyer" instead they search for "got pulled over with 0.08 BAC. Now what?" If you are gunning for few 10, 20 best keywords, you're going the WRONG WAY. You're missing at least 80% of the potential traffic. Refocus on your marketing and keywords strategies.
