We think about #sex, #fantasize about sex, and (preferably) have sex. Which begs the question, why is #sexuality ignored in discussion on healthy well-being? • The Ugly of Black Professionalism: Episode 36

At times being your true #self can come at a cost. Down through the years and even to the present, many individuals feel that climbing the #corporateladder to success mean presenting themselves as a #professional. However, more often than not, the meaning of #professionalism is often connected with assimilating into the majority. There is an #expectation (an impossible expectation), of needing to be white while inhabiting a Black body and embracing your black culture. Are we really supportive in #corporations and #organizations of #diversity, #inclusion, and #equity? How can we rethink the #systems and expectations that are in place and refuse to lend to people just being themselves?

  • Social Media Ain't Your Therapist: Episode 31

The connection between poor mental health and social media apps is scary. In spring of 2021, the Reboot Foundation surveyed more than 1,000 Americans on their social media usage and its impact on their mental health. They also knew that it contributed to feelings of low self-esteem and made it harder for them to concentrate. Yet, we don’t have more doctors, schools, and community groups speaking out against it. In this episode we speak on it…
