On this episode of Generation Red: A Husker Podcast, the boys look back on the hard-fought win over Northwestern, which featured a spectacular kickoff return for a TD by Kenneth Williams that ended up being the difference in the game. Emmett Johnson was the workhorse on offense, and per usual, the referees missed calls, and made weird calls, which enabled the Wildcats to erase a two-score deficit in the 3rd quarter. After a fantastic drive engineered by Dylan Raiola, the Big Red scored the go ahead touchdown with 2:44 to play. Northwestern had a chance to convert on 4th down deep in Husker territory, and for one, the good guys didn't draw the short straw on the final defensive play, and went on to become bowl eligible in October for the first time since 2016. Join Coach, Justin, Scott and Ken as they recap the game, and then turn their attention to the big time night contest coming up next week in Memorial Stadium against the 23rd-ranked USC Trojans.
