Between 2005-2009 the bodies of 8 women were found in or around Jefferson Davis Parish, Louisiana. Despite the creation of a task force and the family’s demands for answers, these cases, which came to be known as the Jeff Davis 8, remain unsolved. The connections between the victims and key players in the Jennings area have left questions of who might be responsible, and whether corruption has played any role in these cases remaining unsolved.

On January 26, 2011, Ellen Greenberg, a beloved teacher, was found dead in her apartment. Initially ruled a homicide, the cause of death was later changed to suicide, despite the fact that Ellen had over 20 stab wounds, including multiple to the back of her head and neck. According to her fiancé, he returned to the apartment the two shared after spending time at the gym, only to find the door locked from the inside. After making several attempts to reach Ellen, he said that he was forced to break the lock on the door in order to gain access to the apartment and upon entering he found Ellen, unresponsive, on the kitchen floor. Ellen’s family has spent years seeking answers as to what happened that day. Ellen’s case has left countless unanswered questions and a quest for justice that has spanned over a decade.
