Spiegel & Holmes Show

Danny Parkins and Matt Spiegel were joined by White Sox infielder Jake Burger to discuss his new media conglomerate centered around mental health, baseball and life in general.

Comedian Nicky Smigs joined the Parkins & Spiegel Show to fire Bears coach Matt Nagy the only way he can – with a cast of celebrity impressions.

In the final hour, Danny Parkins and Matt Spiegel rounded back on a Bears conversation from earlier, reacting to what Dave Wannstedt had to say about Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh. Does it make sense for Harbaugh to leave a top-tier quarterback recruit fresh off an appearance in the College Football Playoff to join the Chicago Bears? Also, Shane had a run-in with a deli worker about his beard earlier in the day. Another reminder he’s lonely!

Danny Parkins and Matt Spiegel were joined by former Bears offensive lineman and nine-time Pro Bowler Ruben Brown to share the story of his run-in with chairman George McCaskey back during his playing days. He also discussed his relationship with Olin Kreutz, shared training camp memories with Patrick Mannelly and explained why he can never eat Steak ‘n Shake again.

In the third hour, Danny Parkins and Matt Spiegel were joined by good friend Dave Wannstedt, who's back in Naples -- and he’s got his buddy Whitey with him! We ran through the possible Bears head coach and general manager candidates with Dave, but he’s stuck on one specific dude – Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh. It’s starting to sound a little … peculiar. Then, White Sox infielder Jake Burger joined the show to discuss his new media conglomerate centered around mental health, baseball and life in general.

In the second hour, Danny Parkins and Matt Spiegel were joined by former Bears offensive lineman and nine-time Pro Bowler Ruben Brown to share the story of his run-in with chairman George McCaskey back during his playing days. He also discussed his relationship with Olin Kreutz, shared training camp memories with Patrick Mannelly and explained why he can never eat Steak ‘n Shake again. Also, the boss Mitch Rosen is making Danny work an extra show on Sunday, and Spiegs learned something new about McCaskey. So he had to share. Then, let’s look back at when the Bears decided to hire Ryan Pace over Chris Ballard as their general manager. In hindsight, it wasn't a great call.

Danny Parkins and Matt Spiegel opened their show by asking, so, what's the verdict? Was Spiegs able to stay up for the entire Bulls game the night before? Then, comedian Nicky Smigs joined the show to fire Bears coach Matt Nagy the only way he can – with a cast of celebrity impressions.

In the final hour, Danny Parkins and Matt Spiegel turned their focus to the Bulls, who host the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday night in what should be their toughest game of the season thus far. We expect the United Center to be absolutely rocking. In postgame Tuesday, coach Billy Donovan lauded star guard Zach LaVine’s ability to score, defend and be a wonderful teammate.

Danny Parkins and Matt Spiegel were joined by former Bears tight end and friend of the show Zach Miller to tell us about director of player engagement Lamar "Soup" Campbell, who's part of the team's search committee for a new general manager and head coach. Who are his top candidates to replace Ryan Pace and Matt Nagy?

Danny Parkins and Matt Spiegel were joined by Jim Rooney – of the Pittsburgh Steelers-famed Rooney family – to break down the Bears’ hiring process for both a head coach and general manager.
