Spiegel & Holmes Show

In the third hour, Danny Parkins and Matt Spiegel were joined by Score analyst Olin Kreutz to discuss what the Bears offense should look like with Andy Dalton as opposed to Justin Fields starting at quarterback Sunday. And, how should the Bears use rookie offensive tackle Tevin Jenkins in his first game back? Also, Dick Allen, Minnie Minoso and Billy Pierce are among those up for the MLB Hall of Fame via the Golden Days Era vote this Sunday. In this show’s opinion, all three should be in ASAP. Then, soundman Chris Tannehill and co-host Herb Lawrence are walking away from their Locked on White Sox podcast, but it's staying in the Score family.

In the second hour, Danny Parkins and Matt Spiegel discussed how Parkins has another homeowner problem he’d like our help with. It’s Dec. 3, his wife wants outdoor Christmas lights and he's YET TO EVEN BUY THEM. Also, Spiegs has another problem with MLB commissioner Rob Manfred. And honestly, we’re running out of space to log those issues. Then, we had another Parkins vs. Parkins vs. Spiegel vs. Spiegel segment. Rubin Spiegel is just lengthening his lead, and it’s kind of sad.

Could you see them as a No. 1 or No. 2 seed in the playoffs? Later, White Sox in-game host Alyssa Bergamini joined the show to give us our first MLB lockout update. Danny Parkins and Matt Spiegel opened their show by discussing the MLB lockout that has begun. Baseball has a huge problem on its hands when it comes to alienating an already dwindling fan base. Then, Tribune reporter Brad Biggs told the Mully & Haugh Show this morning that rumors how been swirling for a year now about the Bears promoting general manager Ryan Pace. Does that make any sense?

In the final hour, Danny Parkins and Matt Spiegel continued to follow the developing story of the Cubs seriously pursuing right-hander Marcus Stroman in free agency. Before the show began, Spiegs reported the sides were "hot and heavy" in their discussions. Well, now the big boy national reporters like Jon Heyman and Ken Rosenthal are starting to confirm that. They’re even crediting Spiegs! Then, Score teammate Mark Grote stopped by with the hottest Bears audio from Halas Hall. And, as the show is ending, Stroman himself tweeted about signing with the Cubs. What a day!
