In the final hour, David Haugh turned his attention to the Bears. Rookie quarterback Justin Fields’ first start will come Saturday in Chicago's preseason finale at Tennessee. Do we really know what he’ll be if those snaps aren’t coming with first-string linemen and skill guys? With Danny Parkins and Matt Spiegel out, it was morning show host David Haugh filling in. He had just dropped his son off at grad school in D.C. It only took the kid three years to get through undergrad, so let’s get some parenting tips from Haugh. Later, Darnell Mayberry of the Athletic joined the show to discuss the Bulls trading big man Lauri Markkanen to the Cavaliers in a three-team deal that sent forward Derrick Jones Jr., a protected first-round pick and a second-round pick back to Chicago.

In the final hour, Danny Parkins turned his attention to the White Sox, who in an absolute barnburner with the Blue Jays turned to Ryan Tepera, Garrett Crochet and Craig Kimbrel to close a win down. Is that a sign of what's to come with Liam Hendriks' struggles as of late?

In the third hour, Danny Parkins welcomed in our good friend and football expert Dave Wannstedt, who was back for his first hit of this NFL season. Joining in studio, Wannstedt was telling us a lot more stories than he was analyzing football. And that's absolutely fine with us.
