Spiegel & Holmes Show

In the third hour, Danny Parkins and Matt Spiegel were joined by RJ Choppy of 105.3 The Fan in Dallas to discuss the non-factor that is new Bears quarterback Andy Dalton, who played for the Cowboys in 2020. Will Dalton mean anything to this Bears team? Later, White Sox reliever Evan Marshall joined the show to discuss why his bullpen on the South Side is the best in baseball. He also accidentally cursed a few times.

In the third hour, Danny Parkins and Matt Spiegel were going to talk with Cardinals pitcher Daniel Ponce de Leon, but that plan got sidetracked by big Bears news. Quarterback Andy Dalton has agreed to join the Bears on a one-year deal. The guys thought that was about as uninspiring of a move as the Bears could make. And what does it mean for Chicago's chances of landing either Russell Wilson or Deshaun Watson in a trade?

In the third hour, Danny Parkins and Matt Spiegel turned their attention to baseball, as Spiegel took the crew through what matters and what doesn’t from both Cubs and White Sox camp in Arizona right now. Cubs reliever Craig Kimbrel continues to struggles, and the team has a clear lack of depth. And for the White Sox, the expectation is that shortstop Tim Anderson will lead off, but who will new manager Tony La Russa put in the two-hole? Also, the White Sox bullpen should be excellent. Lefty Aaron Bummer isn't discussed as much as the bigger names, but Spiegel reminds you he can still bring it.
