Spike Lee is the legendary actor-director-writer-producer behind so many influential and important films, including the likes of Do The Right Thing, Malcolm X and Blackkklansman. His latest, Netflix's Da Five Bloods, is a Vietnam War drama about a group of African-American veterans who return years later to where they buried their squad leader to take his body home... and unearth the gold they hid beside him. Here, Lee talks to Ali about how the project came about and why it's so timely today.
