This week, we’re celebrating Pamela Anderson and Liam Neeson giving us the unexpected romance we never knew we needed — and we’re weirdly obsessed. On the flip side, we are not okay with Jason Momoa shaving his beard, and we need to talk about it.
We’re also not super happy with Justin Timberlake’s tour…and his Lyme disease announcement, and share our very strong feelings about Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau’s rumored romance — spoiler: we’re not fans.
Then it’s time to dive into the first four chapters of Quicksilver and... we're obsessed. The strong female lead? The world building? The mystery and lore? Yes. Yes. And yes.
Unfiltered opinions, celebrity chaos, and our new book boyfriend await.
This week, we wrap up Two Guys, a Girl, and a Tripod with a recap of the second half — and then we’re joined by the author herself, Sara Sitwell, for a fun conversation.
We ask Sara all the things: why she started writing, what inspired the characters and scenes, and how she balanced it all. We also revisit some of our favorite moments from the book — and yes, we talk about all the spice.
Books, banter, and tripod talk — this one’s a ride.
⚠️ Content warning: We discuss a panic attack during a porn scene and a kidnapping that includes violence and attempted sexual assault.
This week, bad things really do come in threes — we react to the news of the deaths of Ozzy Osbourne, Hulk Hogan, and Malcolm-Jamal Warner. Then Tori spirals over Jax Taylor leaving The Valley and revealing a 20+ year cocaine addiction, and we break down the viral Coldplay kiss cam moment.
And, most importantly, we honor the powerful and heartbreaking victim impact statement from Alivea Goncalves, speaking on behalf of her sister, Kaylee Goncalves. She is the queen.
Of course, we couldn’t skip a Meghan Markle update — our favorite girl to hate. And Tori shares a new theory about Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift that might actually be her best one yet.
On the book front, Emily has started Quicksilver and Tori’s jumping in too. Plus, we check in on how In a New York Minute is going for Tori.
It’s a lot. But it’s us.
This week, we’re joined by the magical duo Gabby and Jen from Corks and Cauldron for a deep dive into the Sarah J. Maas universe — and let’s just say, not all of us agree on Crescent City (👀).
We unpack our wildly different takes on the series, speculate recklessly about what ACOTAR 6 could bring, and spiral through theories that may or may not have shocked Emily to her core.
Then, because we’re unwell: we play Fuck, Marry, Kill with Hunt, Baxian, and Ruhn... and chaos absolutely ensues.
Spoilers. Strong opinions. Zero regrets.
This week, we dive into the latest Britney Spears drama…and why does it feel like the early 2000s all over again. Meanwhile, Kanye fans are demanding refunds and, frankly, we think they might need help too…but also they should have known. Tori also gives Emily a lesson on the bombshell Bravo’s Scheana Shay just dropped in her new book, and then it’s straight into the spiral with Sarah J. Maas’ACOTAR tease that broke BookTok and Bookstagram with one blurry handwriting shot.
On the reading front, Tori starts In a New York Minute…but whether she’ll finish it is TBD. Emily continues Two Guys, a Girl, and a Tripod, and let us tell you…the heat is turning up.
This week, we dive into the heavy and the messy: new revelations from the Epstein files, our ongoing ick about Kanye and his treatment of Bianca Censori, Ramona Singer’s latest tone-deaf moment, and Jennifer Aniston’s new man (we have thoughts).
On the book front, Emily started Two Guys, a Girl, and a Tripod by Sara Sitwell, keep your eyes peeled for a special episode with the author. Meanwhile, Tori finished Lessons in Chemistry... and emotionally wrecked Emily in the process.
Content Warning: Mentions of sexual assault and suicide around 25:40 of the Lessons in Chemistry segment.
This week is unhinged in every direction. We cover the Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom split, Jeff Bezos’ “wedding of the century,” and a truly weird week for justice with updates from the Diddy trial and Brian Kohberger case. There’s also a deeply unsettling story about a 5-year-old falling from a cruise ship (wtf???), and, yes, another Meghan Markle moment, because we just can’t look away.
But it’s not all doom and chaos: The Devil Wears Prada 2 is officially in the works and we are thrilled.
Emily brings three book updates to the table, including The Invitation by Jodi Ellen Malpas and The Bodyguard by Katherine Center, while Tori inches closer to finishing Lessons in Chemistry.
⚠️ Content Warning: Discussion of assault from 31:28–31:50 during the Lessons in Chemistry segment.
Oh — and we welcome a very special new cast member: Tori’s sweet baby kitten, Ted!
This week, we’re unwell. It starts with our feelings about orcas (we’re divided), Allie the bottlenose dolphin (new momma), and Ed the zebra (truly an icon). We also descend into the strange world of Labubu’s and Tori might have gone too deep.
On the book front: Tori continues her Lessons in Chemistry journey, and Emily has finished House of Flame and Shadow — and oh, there are feelings. So many feelings we had to cut half the episode so we didn’t keep you here for hours.
Still just two unhinged besties yapping!
This week, Tori finally talks Taylor Swift not releasing Reputation (Taylor’s Version) even though we’re happy she got the rights to her masters! We also check in on Meghan Markle’s latest headline moment, because let’s be honest: we love to hate her.
Then we get serious for a moment to talk about what’s happening in this country, including the horrifying actions of ICE. Because sometimes…spiraling means confronting the real stuff, too.
On the book front: Tori continues her journey through Lessons in Chemistry (yes, it’s still emotional), and Emily officially dives into House of Flame and Shadow with plenty of theories, reactions, and tears.
Content Warning: Discussion of torture during the House of Flame and Shadow segment.
Surprise! We’re joined by our friend Rachel from The Menuscript for a special crossover full of wine, bookish chaos, and some very conflicting opinions. Rachel and Tori go head-to-head over Onyx Storm and Throne of Glass. Expect debates and maybe a dramatic moment or two. Meanwhile, Emily does what she does best: pours another glass and tries to keep the peace.
Spoilers? Yes. Opinions? Unfiltered. Wine? Obviously.
