Welcome back Reel Friends! This week, we landed on a very special category; Alex's Choice! With nothing holding him back like a specific genre or category, Alex chose one of his all time favorite movies Ladykillers! Ladykillers is about Professor G.H. Dorr (Tom Hanks), a courtly Southern gentleman, who arrives at the home of devout, elderly Marva Munson (Irma P. Hall), hoping to rent her extra room and use her basement to rehearse with his classical music ensemble. His fellow musicians, however, are actually criminals, and together they plan to rob a casino. When Mrs. Munson learns of their plan, they decide she must be silenced. Certainly, murdering one little old lady cannot be too difficult. Curious to hear how it ends? Then sit back, relax, and enjoy this week's episode of Spin The Reel!

Welcome back Reel Friends! Last week, our hosts Alex and Walker spun the inevitable Reel Of Fate, and got the category of Decade Favorites. To help narrow down their search, Alex had created a secondary wheel to choose the decade. This one gave them the answer of the 1930's! After some discussion, The boys decided on Frankenstein, an old Hollywood classic that follows the obsessed scientist Dr. Henry Frankenstein (Colin Clive) as he attempts to create life by assembling a creature from body parts of the deceased. Aided by his loyal misshapen assistant, Fritz (Dwight Frye), Frankenstein succeeds in animating his monster (Boris Karloff), but, confused and traumatized, it escapes into the countryside and begins to wreak havoc. Frankenstein searches for the elusive being, and eventually must confront his tormented creation. Want to know more? Well then sit back, relax, and enjoy this week's episode of Spin The Reel!

Welcome back Reel Friends! On last week's episode, our hosts Alex and Walker spun the "Reel Of Fate" and landed on the category of Timepieces. After some discussion, our duo decided on The Lighthouse. As IMDb states, this movie is about two lighthouse keepers who try to maintain their sanity while living on a remote and mysterious New England island in the 1890s. After hearing about this movie for well over a year, Alex finally decided that he should figure out what made Walker enjoy this movie and finally sit down to watch this unusual tale starring Robert Pattinson and William Dafoe. Curious to know what makes this movie such a memorable timepiece? Then sit back, relax, and enjoy this week's episode of Spin The Reel!

Welcome back Reel Friends! This week, our hosts Alex and Walker dive into an interesting category, Movie Plots That Wouldn't Work Today. After some discussion, the two settled on the horror classic, Scream. Known as the Wes Craven film that reignited the fire for the horror movie genre, Scream follows the terrifying tale of Sydney Prescott a year after the murder of her mother. A new killer, who targets the girl and her friends by using horror films as part of a deadly game could be anyone they know, maybe even love. As Alex enjoys a childhood favorite and Walker settles in for a known classic he's never seen before, this movie proves that not all plots can be reused. Want to know more? Welcome back Reel Friends! Today's episode was "Best Opening Scene" and Walker is about to get his wish, that he's been waiting for a long time. That wish was for Alex to finally watch Inglourious Basterds. One that Walker feels is Tarantino's best work. With the help of a great writer/director like Quentin Tarantino, and the Charismatic Christoph Waltz, the opening scene will hit you hard in the face that you, as the audience, are in for one hell of a ride.

Welcome Back Reel Friends! Last week, Alex and Walker spun the notorious Reel of Fate, and it guided them to the category of Biggest Movie Flops. Our hosts wanted to follow the category, but wanted to choose a movie that surprised them for being a contender. Warner Bros Studio had two movies that immediately came into suggestion. Ultimately, our movie duo decided on a childhood favorite of theirs, Osmosis Jones. With a 70 million dollar budget, this movie flopped hard with just under 15 million dollars earned in profit worldwide. "Mixing live action and animation, the film follows the misadventures of a zoo worker with an unknown malady he contracted after eating an egg contaminated with simian saliva. The responsibility of eradicating this lethal virus falls to a white blood cell cop, Osmosis Jones, and a fussy cold-cure pill." With such a star studded cast, our hosts were stumped as to why this movie flopped so terribly. Are you confused too? Well then sit back, relax, and enjoy this week's episode of Spin the Reel!

Welcome back Reel Friends! This week, the Reel of Fate had a wonderful sense of humor, and chose Worst Dialogue. Unlike our category a just two weeks ago (Best Dialogue), Alex and Walker had to do some research and make sure they chose some really terrible writing. In a first ever on the show, our hosts landed on a movie that NEITHER had ever seen before; Troll 2. IMDb summarizes; "Young Joshua is shocked to find that the bedtime stories his infamous Grandpa Seth told him of evil Goblins who turn people into living vegetables to eat them, are about to come to terrifying reality on a family trip to the town of NILBOG. With the assistance of the Troll master, CREEDENCE LEONORE GIELGUD, the Trolls wish to feed Joshua's family evil food". Welcome back Reel Friends! Last week, the Reel of Fate was spun and gave our hosts an interesting category; Risky Documentaries. Alex is our resident documentary buff, and knew exactly what film would be perfect for this episode. This documentary follows the story of Tilikum, a captive killer whale that has taken the lives of several people. The film aims to underscore problems within the sea-park industry, man's relationship to nature, and how little has been learned about these highly intelligent mammals. Sit back, relax, and enjoy this week's episode of Spin The Reel.

Welcome back Reel Friends! Last week, Alex and Walker spun the Reel of Fate and were given the category of Best Dialogue. The two quickly picked up on the multitude of Tarantino films with amazing dialogue. Unable to choose just one film, our hosts decided to create a second wheel to help them choose a movie. This wheel landed on a cult classic Tarantino film, Death Proof. The IMDb description is as follows; "Stuntman Mike (Kurt Russell) is a professional body double who likes to take unsuspecting women for deadly drives in his free time. He has doctored his car for maximum impact; when Mike purposely causes wrecks, the bodies pile up while he walks away with barely a scratch. The insane Mike may be in over his head, though, when he targets a tough group of female friends, including real-life stuntwoman Zoe Bell (who served as Uma Thurman's double in "Kill Bill"), who plays herself."
