Last week I made a funny reel on Instagram about being a people pleaser and, apparently, I hit a button for a lot of people. It seems I'm not alone. So, it made it's way to an episode. People pleasing has been a life-long struggle for me. And when I say struggle, I feel it deep. After MUCH personal development and a TON of leaning into what God says about me, I have some tools that I know have helped me. This episode is packed with what's worked for me and I hope you can find one or two that work for you!
Well, friends, we did it!!! That's a wrap on 2021. A great year, a hard year, a long year, a short year. Am I right or am I right?
This episode is filled with some fun memories together looking back on 2021 and some encouragement as we head into 2022. In this episode, I share on how to create whitespace (those areas in the margin that help us find rest) as we take on the new year. I promise this will be a new spin on intentions / goals and help you think of creative new ways to shake things up.
Also, we hit 3K downloads. This time last year we had 1K, which means we grew 66% this year. What?! All thanks to you, my sweet listeners and cheerleaders. You share episodes, tag me, give me feedback, and are even on the pod letting me interview you. It's been a beautiful year of growth and I can't wait to see where 2022 takes Spinning Plates!
Thank you for being a part of journey. As always, my prayer is that it fills your cup whenever you pop in & listen.

Ever find yourself in that funk. That valley. You're just not feeling it.
That was me recently. Not a crisis, but a weird space. And if I'm honest, a depression. BUT the difference between old me and new me is this: I don't stop doing the things that I know will get me through the weird (TEMPORARY) seasons. I know the things that will get me to the other side of the funk. Today I'm sharing with you my short list of items that I know I HAVE to keep doing to just keep swimming.
Hope today's episode serves you and your heart. Share with a friend if they need it.
My friend, Lisa, and I had a beautiful chat. We talked about all the things, including how you can make positive changes despite your circumstances, routines, and speaking affirmations into your soul. God is using her in big ways and I'm excited for you to all get to know her.
Lisa Jordan is a Mother, Wife, Master’s Certified Life Coach, and founder of the Midwest Mama. The idea for the Midwest Mama was born during Lisa’s own motherhood transformation. As an overwhelmed and lost single-mom, Lisa began the work to heal her past, reframe her mindset, and rediscover her purpose in addition to being a mom. With this newfound outlook on life and motherhood, Lisa knew she had found her purpose and began teaching other moms how to find balance and purpose in their motherhood journey as well. Motherhood doesn’t come with a manual, so Lisa’s goal is to help you create yours! By utilizing her three pillar coaching system, she will help you create the customized systems and strategies you need to thrive in motherhood. Lisa offers these services through weekly one-on-one coaching sessions and supplemental voice messenger access because she understands that it truly takes a village!
