Friend, it's a choice. I spent years living settled and complacent. I spent countless hours thinking I SHOULD do something. I felt like I could never change. I felt like my issues were unfixable. I felt like I could never be consistent. I would be frustrated or snappy, thinking it was the result of others actions that made me feel that way. Until the day I realized I get to choose. Truly choose. Despite circumstances or situations, I get to choose to take care of my mind, body, and soul. I get to choose what I fuel myself with. I get to choose to move. I get to choose how I react.
I didn't start out nailing it every day and I still don't nail it every day, but when it doesn't go the way I planned I do know I get to choose how I keep going. How I show myself and others grace in the process. How I show up!
Friend, it's a choice. It's up to you and only you to make it.
Listen to this episode, please. I took you guys on my evening walk with me, so forgive the audio, but I just couldn't wait to share my heart.
We all need a little help with planning. Am I right or am I right?! I finally get to sit down with my friend, Daryl, and chat about all things healthy living. If you have listened to my early episodes you know that he's the one that encouraged me to start the pod in the first place and the rest, as they say, is history!
This episode is PACKED full of helpful tips if you're looking to get started or already in a wellness routine. We talked about so many great things I didn't even know what to call it. The overall theme though was how we make it work for us on a daily basis, how we find consistency, and how to make it sustainable...aka Daryl's refreshing fitness philosophy. I can't wait for you to hear this one. Enjoy!
Daryl is a certified personal trainer, nutrition coach and podcaster. He believes that lasting weight loss results come from following an eating and exercise plan based on your preferences, while focusing on consistency instead of perfection.

I had the best chat with one of my new friends, Katy Spratte Joyce. We talked about everything from how extroverts survive the pandemic life, creating balance, and sourdough starts gone wrong.
Katy is a Midwest-based freelance journalist who specializes in travel, food, and beverage coverage. She has written for Travel+Leisure, Eating Well, The New York Times, Reader's Digest, and more. When not writing or on the road, Katy enjoys lake time, a good cheese board, walking her geriatric lab Molly, and cooking with her husband Skip.
Hope today's episode gives you a nugget you can take-a-way and apply in your own life.
