Spirit Moving with Selene Kumin Vega, PhD
Inner peace for outer peace and mindful body awareness. Today’s guest is Santa Cruz local dancer, professor, and psychotherapist Selene Kumin Vega. She describes how movement can take us toward a dream-like state from which we can access our inner teacher. She talks about the importance of being witnessed and about spirit and what that means to her. We talk about intuition, self-care, and finding what you need. We end by talking about an on-going monthly live meditation called Inner Peace for Outer Peace.
BIO: Selene Kumin Vega, Ph.D. is a licensed psychotherapist, a dancer, and a full professor in Saybrook University’s Mind-Body Medicine graduate program. Her work with movement and experiential modalities evolved over 50 years of facilitating self-exploration, connection, and transformation. She developed and taught courses including Body-Oriented Approaches to Psychotherapy and Mind-Body-Spirit Applications in Psychotherapy.
