Featured book is "Negativity, what we deny controls us"
The experience of love, joy, peace, laughter, enthusiasm and other positive emotions make our life worth living. I refer to these positive emotions as "Devine" emotions. When we're in the flow state we experience the best of what is available in life.
When I'm playing my best tennis, I'm in the "zone". When I'm coaching people inspiration and wisdom and effective communication flow effortlessly, spontaneously. When I'm inspired talking with my wife or friends, the wisdom and insights are both profound and exciting. All these experiences are experiences of being "vitally alive", and that is what makes life worth living.
Every thought has an emotion tied to it. When we're aware of our thoughts we can choose which thoughts to act on and which to allow to drift out of our mind just as they drifted into our mind. Whatever emotion that is attached to a thought becomes more of our reality if we act on it.
That's why I choose not to kill my first wife when I walked in on her in bed with one of her coworkers over 45 years ago. I had the thought, "I could kill them, and I want to". I was aware of the thought and decided being incarcerated for killing them wasn't worth the price, so I left.
Conversely, when I was contacted with the opportunity to run for office, I was wildly excited. I jumped at the opportunity. Each step of the process has been filled with inspiration and joy. I don't know if I'll win or not, and what matters to me is that I'm having the time of my life participating in the process of running for office. It's. that enthusiasm that makes life worth living.
Different thoughts and actions inspire different people. Take stock of what inspires you and do that. Allow yourself to be "vitally alive".
