Warning: This interview contains discussions about suicide, graphic violence, and other potentially triggering and upsetting content.
This episode features an interview with indie horror filmmaker, Robbie Smith. Robbie's most recent offering, I Don't Like It Here, dropped exclusively on Screambox just a few weeks ago and also dropped on my head like an anvil coated in nightmare fuel. The way it switches up the form from mumblegore drama to true crime mock doc then rams it full of hellish imagery is a sight to behold, to say the least. We dive into Robbie's inspirations and aspirations, then eventually dive into our own shared traumas and vulnerable past experiences. This episode really runs the gamut of emotions and showcases just how fascinating Robbie is as an artist and a human being. Check it out!
