So this is the departure from the main novel, in which I read a short story from the anthology! This is from Jill's perspective, and we get to see exactly how she got out from the house after being taken into custody and basically put into lockdown. In proper teenage fashion, she completely freaks the fuck out over a bullshit relationship with a creep (I CAN UNFORTUNATELY RELATE) and using a pretty fucking wild escape tunnel to bail in the middle of the night.

These chapters are really amping things up. First we've got Nina nearly getting attacked by wolves (and then she's saved by Matthias's wolf, which is really breaking my heart), then we've got Zoya almost getting carried off by these weird cyborg hybrids, and poor Nikolai transforms in the MIDDLE OF THE DAY. I do not like where ANY of this is heading.

I swear to god, I love this show so much. This is one of the funniest episodes yet, and it's NOT just because it's loaded with stars and pop-culture references (even more than usual, I mean). The whole premise, and the way it's carried out, is just excellent and I really find the way they're dealing with Guillermo to be surprising and fascinating. I can't wait to see where they decide to go with his storyline.
