I am hoping the campaign will raise awareness around depression & anxiety especially for professional black males,” shares the cyclist and marathon enthusiast. April 11, 2022Annette du Plooy Honoured with ITF Award for Services to the Game Guests on the line – Former South African tennis player, Annette van Zyl Former South African tennis player, Annette du Plooy, received the ITF Award for Services to the Game during the Tuks International (ITF $60,000 World Tennis Tour) at TuksTennis, University of Pretoria on Sunday, 3 April 2022. During the mid-1960s, du Plooy was ranked in the top ten female globally and in 1966 she won the French Open Mixed Doubles title with Frew McMillan, defeating Ann Haydon-Jones and Clark Graebner in three sets. In 1972, her coaching career began after completing coaching courses offered through LTA while living in England. She completed further coaching certificates under Reeve Hudson and quickly reached Professional Coaching Level.
