Calvin Sandile Fiki, has been selected through the official Federation of Bodybuilding South Africa, to compete in the bodybuilding and fitness event at the fifth edition of the Arnold Classic Africa 2021 in Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa. The Arnold Classic Africa is an annual multi-sport event, celebrating numerous sporting codes. It is named after the legendary professional bodybuilder and actor Arnold Schwarzenegger, who will also be present at the event. The event will be taking place 19 – 21 November 2021 at the Walter Sisulu Sports Hall, Johannesburg, South Africa. Confidence in someone outperforming the other can be proven in more ways than one. But successful boxing trainer Damien Durandt has instead challenged Marco Luis to put his money where his mouth is.

Durandt took upcoming boxing manager Luis on a R10,000 bet that his charge, Brandon Thysse, will retain his WBA Pan African junior middleweight belt against Luis’ boxer, Roarke Knapp, on December 4.

After having won the last edition of the aQuellé Tour Durban women’s race, the Sandton City Cycle Nation team has entered for the 2021 title decider over the 101km course on the M4 on Sunday 28 November with a burning desire to retain the title that Cashandra Slingerland won in a remarkable solo charge in 2019.

Thirty one months later and the team that will be on the start line will have a different look, but the same core philosophy and a strong leaning towards trying to replicate Slingerland’s remarkable breakaway victory.

Guest 1 on the line:Marcus “King Labamba” Lebogo - the South African junior welterweight Champion

Marcus “King Labamba” Lebogo finally has a crown. His deserved unanimous points win after one-sided 10 rounds against Sbonelo Nzimande at the weekend was testimony to the old saying that perseverance is the mother of all success.

Lebogo failed to win the SA junior welterweight title from Xolani Mcotheli in 2019 but never gave up. The crowning moment came on Sunday and the boxer from Tembisa grabbed it with both hands as he completely flummoxed Nzimande to win the ABU SADC belt.
