The Toronto Maple Leafs and the Pittsburgh Penguins began their season series in Pittsburgh at PPG Paint's Arena back in late November of 2023 and the Pittsburgh Penguins came out on top by a final score of (PIT 3-2 TOR).

The Toronto Maple Leafs would get even with the Pittsburgh Penguins when the two teams meet again at Scotia Bank Arena for this first time this season with a huge (TOR 7-0 PIT) in mid December of 2023.

So the season series is tied at a win apiece (Season series tied)

The wait for the Toronto Blue Jays 2024 Home Opener is over and after splitting the season opening series on the road with the Tampa Bay Rays in Tampa Bay and then dropping two games to both the Houston Astros and the New York Yankees. The Toronto Blue Jays are ready to come back home and play in front of the home crowd. The Seattle Mariners have also split a series with the Boston Red Sox’s and dropped their previous two series to the Cleveland Guardians and the Milwaukee Brewers. These two teams met in the wildcard round of the 2022 MLB playoffs. But that was two seasons ago and yet here we are in 2024 ready to play at the newly renovated Rogers Centre and the 2024 Toronto Blue Jays home opener in 2024 is about to begin. These two teams come into this 3-game series at a record of both 4 and 6 and would love nothing better than to start this series with a bang. The New York Yankees started off the 2024 season with a bang on the road when they picked up their first season series sweep of the season after sweeping the Houston Astros to start the season with a record of 4 and 0 and then they would continued their wining streak as they extended this streak to a historic start of the season of 2024

We're in the final stretch of the season and with only 5 games left in the regular season the Pittsburgh Penguins have really turned up the heat with a back-to-back sweep of two Metropolitan division opponents in the New York Rangers who beat in the Big Apple in a big (PIT 5-2 NYR) victory over the Rangers on Monday night and then they picked up another big win in Newark New Jersey in a big (PIT 6-3 NJD) win over the New Jersey Devils on Tuesday night that saw them score 5 unanswered goals in the third period.

The Pittsburgh Penguins are now heading back home to Pittsburgh for one final afternoon game in Pittsburgh this season as the host the Tampa Bay Lightning following a big game in DC against the Capitals on Thursday night to close their final 4-game road trip of the season.

The Tampa Bay Lightning return to Pittsburgh following a final back-to-back of their very own as they took on the Toronto Maple Leafs on Wednesday night in Toronto and that wraps up with the Montréal Canadiens in Montréal on Thursday night. What will the final scores be when those games are all set and done?

Last time the Penguins played the Lightning, the Lightning defeated the Penguins in early December of 2023 in Tampa Bay by a final score of (TBL 3-1 PIT) after the Penguins beat the Lightning in Tampa Bay in late November of 2023 by a final (PIT 4-2 TBL) and so now the season series heads to Pittsburgh to decide who win the season series.

The New Jersey Devils are well rested for their games in April as they try to make a push for the playoffs but they were gifted some bad luck after the Pittsburgh Penguins defeated the New York Rangers in New York on Monday night by a final score of (PIT 5-2 NYR).

This means they fell behind the Penguins only by a point in the Eastern Conference wildcard standings as they currently sit in 6th place behind the Penguins who now sit in 5th place in the wildcard race standings

The Devils however are coming into this game following a (BUF 5-2 NJD) loss to the Buffalo Sabres at the end of their March scheduled games in Buffalo which wasn't good news for the Penguins as they headed into their game on Tuesday night against the Rangers.
