  • Episode 40 - We Did 40 Shows?
Hosted by Paul C. Cuthbert and Robert Kuney.

The Honchos unloaded their 40th episode tonight with another epic performance. After the usual small talk and banter, like their Matrix and John Wick mashup idea, the show started for real with the worst idea ever for a Halloween costume and some unwanted ingredients in a Bolivian fast food hamburger.

The sack of sports opened with some NCAA football talk. There was a recap of the week 3 action, a look at the lack of any truly dominant team this season, and the Honchos developed a man crush on the Presbyterian Blue Hose and the mighty Pioneer League.

The NBA/NHL/MLB segment included the John Wall trade, Ben Simmons wanting out of Philly, the out of control player movement killing the NBA, Covid vaccine requirements for the MLB postseason, and a deep dive on the issue of whether or not it is unfair for a 100 win team to have to play in the one-game NL wild card game.

The Honchos took a look at the action from last week's NFL games in the NFL Recap segment, and went in depth on the Ravens thrilling win over the Chiefs as well as Rob's worrisome affection for one Kirk Cousins. There was also a look ahead at the upcoming schedule of games.

The 40th episode ended the way the previous 39 ended - with the Dope of the Week. This week's winner was Aaron Jones of the Green Bay Packers.

  • Episode 39 - The Atonement Show
Hosted by Paul C. Cuthbert and Robert Kuney.

The Honchos made their triumphant return to the airwaves with the always exciting Atonement Show on the eve of Yom Kippur. Boy do they have to do a lot of atoning. After some TV talk and a recap of the Honchos finally being in the same place together, attention was paid to headlines around the world with stories about underwear thieves and killer hot dogs.

The Honchos ripped open the sack of sports with some college football talk, including tectonic shifts in conference alignments, the firing of Clay Helton at USC, and whether Ohio State's loss or Notre Dame's too close for comfort win was the bigger deal this season.

The NHL/NBA/MLB segment was brief, but meaningful, as the Honchos discussed the NHL returning to the Olympics in 2022 (if we are not at war), the pennant races and wild card races heating up in the MLB, and the retirement of Ryan Braun.

The NFL Recap was back and better than ever now that real live games are underway at last. After a quick recap of highlights of last week's games, football yak focused on the continuing saga of Deshaun Watson, Josh Gordon, Larry Fitzgerald, the Bills requiring vaccinations at home games, and a review of the debut of the Manning brothers on Monday Night Football. There was even an OJ story. Talk about atonement . . .

The show ended as it always does with the Dope of the Week. This week's winner was Brian Kelly, head football coach at the University of Notre Dame.

  • Episode 38 - Sunday Sports Smash!
Hosted by Paul C. Cuthbert and Robert Kuney.

The Honchos were back after summer vacation for another action-packed showgram. You spoke, we listened, and we did the show anyway. The Honchos opened the show with some movie talk and then dove right into some headlines - Wolfie Van Halen, the death of Ron Popeil and the potential bacon panic in California next year.

The Honchos opened the long overdue sack of sports by offering up some opinions on why nobody is watching the Olympics, followed by a tribute to the late Bobby Bowden, and a look at the changing landscape of major conference college football.

The NHL/NBA/MLB segment was hopping this morning with fresh-baked goodness: Evander Kane, the Chicago Blackhawks, Marc-Andre Fleury, the Ingleside Lakers, MLB trade talk, the new name of the artist formerly known as the Cleveland Indians, Mets bashing, Trevor Bauer still on suspension, and they ended the segment with a smidge of positivity - the upcoming MLB "Field of Dreams" game.

The NFL is back (sort of) and so was a beefed up NFL recap. Pre-season boredom, Dan Campbell's morning coffee habit, the obligatory Deshaun Watson update, confirmation of Aaron Rodgers as a money-hungry diva, the Carson Wentz injury and the return of Philip Rivers(?), and the WooFTskins banning Native-American headdresses and face paint from home games.

Despite all of that gluttony, the Honchos still managed to squeeze in the Dope of the Week to end the shenanigans. This week's winner was Kirk Cousins, QB of the Minnesota Vikings.

  • Episode 37 - Sunday Morning Monday Night Show!
Hosted by Paul C. Cuthbert and Robert Kuney.

It was a Sunday morning show . . . on a Monday night! The MLB All-Star Game extravaganza started with an update on Paul's health (ear crystals - who knew), the latest hot dog eating triumph by Joey Chesnutt, and another fireworks safety lecture because there sure are some dumb people out there. And Overbite Man made a guest appearance as well.

The sports chatter started in earnest with the first major college athlete endorsement deal in the wake of the NCAA's ruling on NIL rights for its athletes.

In the NBA/NHL/MLB segment the Honchos got into a lot of topics, including the NBA Finals heating up as the Bucks are making it a series, everyone overreacting to USA Basketball's loss to Nigeria, the Lightning winning their second Cup in a row, shirtless Nikta Kucherov, the tragic, and mysterious it seems, death of Blue Jackets goalie Matiss Kivlenieks, Duncan Keith traded to the Oilers, Trevor Bauer's suspension, and a whole lot of All-Star Game talk, complete with another ignorant take from Stephen A. Smith. There was even a Joe Pepitone sighting!

The NFL Recap was all about drama king Aaron Rodgers and the fastest 2021 season preview ever courtesy of Paulie.

After a brief look at Italy's win in Euro 2020 and some great trash talk from Danish goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel, the show slid into home as it always does with the Dope of the Week. This week's winner? Rob Manfred, MLB Commissioner.

  • Episode 36 - 4th of July Sports Spectacular!
Hosted by Paul C. Cuthbert and Robert Kuney.

The Honchos returned to the airwaves with a July 4th spectacular that was at times both patriotic and explosive with just a hint of national pride. The Honchos lit the candle with a PSA about fireworks safety and then did a deep dive (see what we did there) into all things tuna and Subway and potential seafood fraud. And Rob introduced Paulie to Overbite Man.

The sack of sports was cut open and out tumbled the recent NCAA and Supreme Court decisions on student-athletes profiting from their NIL rights. The Honchos grappled with how this will or will not change the landscape of college sports in America.

In the NHL/NBA/MLB segment the Honchos discussed the NHL and NBA playoffs as they reach their respective conclusions, the allegations against Trevor Bauer. the MLB crackdown on the use of foreign substances on baseball and whether it is actually working, the All-Star game, and more happenings off the field for the New York Mets.

The NFL Recap was dominated by the latest news from the Washington WooFTskins. Dan Snyder out (for now)! Tanya Snyder in! Team fined $10 million! What does it all mean? Nothing as long as they win. Maybe.

After a brief review of Euro 2020 in Seconds of Soccer, the show wrapped as it always does with the Dope of the Week. This week's winner? Tyler Glasnow of the Tampa Bay Rays.

  • Episode 35 - College Football, NHL, NBA Playoff Brunch With a Side of MLB and NFL Nonsense.
Hosted by Paul C. Cuthbet and Robert Kuney.

The Honchos served up another hot Sunday brunch today. They led off by addressing the Foo Fighters upcoming concert at Madison Square Garden and the heated debate about concert goers being required to be vaccinated, and then turned their attention to some headlines like a man being swallowed by a humpback whale (and surviving), some positive light shined on the police for a change, and a bizarre lawsuit out of Yonkers involving cell phones, thongs, and school principals.

The bag of sports was opened and what came out first was the proposed expansion of the College Football Playoffs from 4 teams to 12. After the college football talk, the Honchos hit the NBA, NHL, and MLB.

First up was the NBA and the Honchos talked NBA playoffs and played "Who Is Dumber" with unfortunate comments by Jeff Van Gundy and Steven A. Smith. Then attention was paid to the NHL with playoff talk and a therapy session for Rob's Barry Trotz angst. Finally, after the world's shortest tribute to the late Mike Marshall, the boys discussed the MLB crackdown on foreign substances used by pitchers and the real reason why pitching is so dominant all of a sudden.

A brief NFL Recap contained more updates on Deshaun Watson and Aaron Rodgers, the Julio Jones trade, and Russell Wilson smokescreens.

After a quick look at Naomi Osaka's withdrawal from the French Open and Euro 2020, the show lurched to the finish line with the Dope of the Week. This week's winner was Gerrit Cole of the New York Yankees.

  • Episode 34 - Easy Like Sunday Mornings
Live Every Sunday Morning | 10:30am EST. | Hosted by Paul C. Cuthbet and Robert Kuney.

It was the debut of the new Sunday morning showgram and the Sports Honchos served up a heaping pile of eggs, bacon, and sports yak. The Honchos debuted a new segment called "Headlines to Make You Do Lines," and the inaugural edition featured cicada talk (they urinate) and guidelines from the British Columbia Centre for Disease Control on sex during the pandemic.

The sack of sports was ripped open with a look around hockey, basketball, and baseball. The Honchos started the sports talk with the NHL playoffs, the Mark Scheifele hit on Jake Evans, and Canada relaxing their travel protocols in time for the final four in the playoffs. Next up was the NBA playoffs, the Clippers and Mavericks in a Game 7, the legacy of LeBron and KD, big changes with the Boston Celtics off the court, and the Liz Cambage body shaming story. Finally, the boys hashed out the Bob Brenly mess in Arizona.

After the Honchos celebrated the career of Duke's Coach K, who is calling it quits after this coming season, there was a quick look at Helio Castroneves winning the Indy 500, Medina Spirit's second positive drug test, and 10,000 Olympic volunteers quitting less than two months before the start of the Summer Olympics in Japan.

It was a new day for the Honchos, but the show ended the same way it always does - with the Dope of the Week. This week's winner? Gilles Moretton, head of the French Tennis Federation.

  • Episode 33 - So Long For Now Wednesdays! Sports Gumbo and our Move to Sundays.
Hosted by Paul C. Cuthbert and Robert Kuney.

Tonight was the last Wednesday showgram before the show moves to Summertime Sundays. The Honchos marked the occasion with another steaming pile of audio goodness. The Honchos kicked off the festivities with some vaccine and mask talk followed by an in-depth investigation into the FAA's new policy of randomly weighing passengers before flights.

The sack of sports was opened with a recap of Phil Mickelson's historic PGA Championship win. From there the Honchos took to the ice to talk NHL playoffs, another disappointing end to the Caps season, Barry Trotz, Connor McDavid, John Davidson's return to Columbus and Wayne Gretzky's new job with TNT. After talking about the NBA playoffs and Julius Randle winning the NBA's Most Improved Player award, the Honchos reviewed where MLB stands as it approaches the 50 game milestone.

The NFL Recap featured your weekly DeShaun Watson update, the latest from the Aaron Rodgers-Green Bay Packers melodrama, and Julio Jones wanting out of Atlanta.

The show wrapped with a discussion of Comfort (TX) High School's overreaction to a rather harmless senior prank and the debut of the Throwback Dope of the Week, a look at a DOTW from years gone by. Tonight's winner was Jim Zorn, former head coach of the Washington Redskins.

  • Episode 32 - May the Playoffs Be With You! A’s Moving Out! Pujols Moves Across Town, Dope of the Week and More!
Hosted by Paul C. Cuthbert and Robert Kuney,

The Honchos were back and more hydrated than ever this week after taking off last week. The tanned, rested, and ready Honchos opened the show with cicada talk, gas shortage talk, a salute to Andre the Giant, and why critics of Disneyland's new Snow White have proved that we all take a deep breath once in a while.

The pouch of sports was unzipped and the NHL/NBA/MLB segment spilled out as the Honchos tackled the NHL playoffs, the NBA playoffs, the Clippers taking a dive to end the regular season, the 2021 Basketball Hall of Fame class and the surprising story of Ben Wallace, the retirement of Marv Albert after more than a half century of calling games, and the epic beef between former number one overall pick Kwame Brown and, well, everyone. They did not forget about baseball; the Honchos discussed Albert Pujols' third act with the Dodgers and the Oakland A's possible relocation.

After the weekly Deshaun Watson lawsuit update, the Honchos talked about Bob Baffert's suspension from Belmont Park and Kenny Mayne leaving ESPN.

The show came to its usual rip-roaring conclusion with the Dope of the Week. This week's winner was Jimbo Fisher, head football coach at Texas A&M University.

  • Episode 31 - Cinco de Honchos Show! Tom Wilson, NFL Draft, Aaron Rodgers, Mets, Old Trafford & More!
Hosted by Paul C. Cuthbert and Robert Kuney.

It is Cinco de Mayo and the Honchos celebrated in style with a super-special Cinco de Honchos Showgram. After a sentimental tribute to a cherished pet and the end of one of America's great love affairs, the Honchos taught us everything we wanted to know (and less) about Cinco de Mayo.

The sports pinata was opened with the NBA/NHL/MLB segment that included LeBron James not happy with the NBA's new playoff format, Tom Wilson's latest transgression, big changes at the top of the New York Rangers organization, John Means' almost-perfect no-hitter, Roberto Alomar's latest troubles, Francisco Lindor's struggles, the firing of Chili Davis in New York, and why we are overlooking the greatness of Mike Trout this season.

The NFL Recap featured a Deshaun Watson update, thoughts on the NFL Draft and which of the first round QBs will face the most pressure this season, the Aaron Rodgers drama and a potential return to the NFL by Tim Tebow.

After shaming the Man U fans that stormed Old Trafford and examining why American sports fans do not have the same power to effectuate change as European sports fans, the show ended with a rousing Dope of the Week. This week's winner was Robert Griffin III.
