In this episode of the Wisconsin Sportsman Podcast, Josh talks with Brian Dombrowski of central Wisconsin about tagging big public land bucks in the early season.
While many hunters are at home watching football and waiting for the whitetail action to heat up in late October, Brian is working hard in the timber and marshes to earn his bucks before the crowds hit the woods. Topics covered in this episode include how Brian keys in on the sign left by specific deer, how he uses mock scrapes for killer inventory on public land, and strategies for hunting really tight to buck bedding. This is an episode you won't want to miss!!!

This week the Oklahoma Outdoors Podcast travels to the whitetail paradise known as Iowa. John met Daryn Yoder of Forerunner Blinds at the ATA show back in January, and the two instantly hit it off. Daryn is a family rancher, a bucking bull breeder, an all around great guy, and the owner and founder of Forerunner Blinds. Daryn talks about why he started the company and how it has continued to expand from blinds, to ebikes, and most recently the purchase of Monster Meal deer supplements. Daryn took his knowledge of animal husbandry from growing up around farm animals and now applies it to help people grow bigger healthier whitetails.
You are going to want to stick around for the end of this show also, as Daryn and John discuss what makes Iowa whitetail hunting so special. John asks about Iowa's deer management laws to see if there are any ways Oklahoma could improve its own practices. The two talk one buck vs two buck tags, doe numbers, ag practices, and much much more.

September is here, which means deer season has arrived! That includes the special regulations season in Pennsylvania including units 5C, 5D, and 2B. It's a fantastic opportunity to get in the deer woods slightly before the rest of the state. On this week's episode of the Pennsylvania Woodsman, we chatted with someone who has found repeated success on opening day during this early season.
Our guest Adam Pastrnak discusses his continued stewardship of the whitetail woods. More of a self taught bow hunter, he is constantly consuming as much information as possible to help formulate a game plan during fall. Through the school of hard knocks and trial and error, Adam has managed to come up with a system where he can connect on deer in the morning during early season. We indulge into his learning curve and how he has evolved from stomping through brush to a more methodical approach in the whitetail woods. It's a bow hunting conversation for anyone who is ready for opening day, wherever that may be!

Today we're recapping our hot, miserable trip to hunt the Tennessee Velvet Hunt. Parker's joined by Jacob Emery, Taylor Philpot, Clay Harper & Jeremy Freeman to discuss the weekends events. This was truly an incredible experience from finding out the buck exists, making a game plan with a group of like-minded hunters, and then ultimately pulling the trigger on a true world class whitetail. Unlike most hunting stories, this isn't just an individual person who got to enjoy the experience. Instead, it's a team of people who were able to successfully pull of a "team hunt" in some incredibly harsh conditions.
