Today, James is going to talk to us about the foolishness in our lives when we are followers of Jesus Christ talk about this faith we have, but he will address how when that faith is not worked, its useless.

James is going to go after one of the issues in the early church – they showed partiality to the rich. They gave more attention and special notice of those with wealth than those without, and through that lens, he is going to expose what is at the root of a sin like that of favoritism.

James has taught us on trials and temptations, and where he turns his attention now is towards what is an essential characteristic component of faith that endures trials and temptations, it clings to God’s Word. It not only sees God’s Word as true and right, but it applies it. It does something with it.
