From verses 1-9, James, who is the half-brother of Jesus, is calling Christians to grow in their faith. He is calling them away from worldlines and toward Godliness. He is writing about what are the characteristics of faith, real faith.

Today, we are going to talk through how this letter ends by focusing on what matters most–“the call to become like Christ, because of Christ.

Because Christians are aware of Christ’s coming, we are called to live different as He made us. Paul works in this section to drive this point home by showing contrast –he is going to compare and contrast believers with non-believers.
