* A Series of (Mostly) Fortunate Events
* Dr. Carson's story ends: Leap of Faith or Intentional Self-Sacrifice?
* The not-so-deep faith of #FatherGabriel and where this leaves him
* The long-term significance of the Gabriel/Carson Odd Couple, Maniac Mansion shack
* Unlike Ace of Base, Father Gabriel did NOT see the sign ...and it closes shut his eyes?
* #EugenePorter, lowering #Negan's expectations, sets the table for he and Father Gabriel to find their bravery?
* Carol's husband figured out how to use Walker guts to make people sick a long time ago... pfft!
* Eugene points out Negan's hypocrisy - is he ahead of the game, compared to the more central characters?
* A reckoning is coming, next week. Faster-paced, fewer locations, maximum character coverage.
* Was Daryl protecting Dwight at the swamp? A high-valued asset.
* The last three episodes will definitely reveal the whereabouts and significance of certain forgotten characters
* How #TheWalkingDead on AMC differs from most adaptations and gives the Comics fans more: #TWD v2.0 upgrade
* MaggieRhee avoids the trappings of most leaders: learning from her surroundings makes her wise.
* Less settings means more Maggie time ...and it's about time
* Allowing Simon to carry out Negan's grand plans will be the beginning of Negan's turn-around
* Shipping Maggie & Savior "Philip/Al"! Jesus Saves (Aaron... in more ways than one)? Daryl and...? When will Daryl find romance?
* The camaraderie that never was: Father Gabriel with Dr. Carson and #CarlGrimes with Negan. Is the lack of the latter going to change the story?

March 03, 2018 [Episode 10] Season 8, Episode 10 of The Walking Dead, "The Lost and the Plunderers"
We're uploading all of our episodes - two a week, starting with Episodes 1 & 2, this week - to our #FacebookPage!
Carol, heavily medicated + Dave, heavily caffeinated = An Episode PACKED with insights (a ping-pong of slurred & stammered speech).
* Carol's prediction of The Junkyard Gang's fate comes true... as well as #CarlGrimes having writen a note to #Negan
* #RickGrimes is stuck: not ready to make Carl's dream real. Just when you thought there was the occasional breakthrough
* #Michonne may be struggling, still stuck on the future of Alexandria, but is trying her hardest to reach Rick...
* Why did Negan keep The Grimes House intact?
* Simon vs Carl, in Negan's eyes: The Brut vs The Most Prized Resource
* Simon & Negan: a complete shift in our perception of them from when they were first introduced
* Sending Simon to The Landfill (after witnessing his behavior in the conference room): Negan's biggest mistake.
* Poll: Who will END Simon? (a) Oceanside (b) Negan. God, I'm hoping it's Oceanside, because #Lucille is thirsty
* Children of the Walkerpocalypse (vs those who knew what it was like, beforehand): Killing makes sense to them.
* #Enid's stand: Giving Cyndi the strength to lead, showing the parents a better way
* Aaron's gambit: suicide or refusing to relinquish his principles?
* How Aaron & Enid, coming from different experiences, going through separate evolutions, meet in the middle
* The mystery of the helipad & solar panels... #Jadis being Jadis (not revealing that mystery to Simon) gets her people killed: Simon is clearly fed up with Negan's way
* The Blue Paint Connection: Carl & #JudithGrimes' handprints + Jadis' paint... what's the significance?
* Negan vs Simon: Strategy and Learning from History vs Brute Force
* The #FatherGabriel Effect: We finally feel something for The Junkyard Gang. Like #KingEzekiel, the facade fades when things go bad. The similarity between The Junkyard and the other communities
* "YOU DID THIS" Rick says to Jadis exactly what, later on, Negan says to Rick. Rick also repeats history: he did Jadis exactly like #Siddiq (at The Gas Station)
* Jadis will be back: in what way and how soon?
* When Negan sounds more reasonable than Rick: Is Negan open to (at least, his own version of) peace?
* Rick, In Hell: Making the same decisions over and over, again, and expecting a different result.
* Sneak Peeks: #DarylDixon finally snaps out of it and tells Tara to stop; #MaggieRhee, going hard; #EugenePorter at the foundry; Eugene & Negan, in the conference room
* The Centere Cannot Hold: Negan's philosophy is only as good as his Lietenants, who are dropping like flies
* Why #RobertKirkman introduced The Junkyard: a means to expose Simon's insubordination, but also reutilizing Jadis (like Daryl, subbing for Carl) for something bigger?

* The ping-pong, repeating theme of confronting redemption
* A Requiem for Gavin: the path to hell is paved with an endless string of small compromises
* Is #MorganJones finally through "clearing"? His matriculation into the adjacent world of #FearTheWalkingDead

* Why were we hit harder when #GlennRhee died than Carl? Either way, why no send-off will ever be good enough
* Big things will happen with Oceanside & Trash Hipsters/Junkyard Gang/#GarbagePeople
* How Carl's death moves Negan: "Is this who you wanted to be?" and his elite eventually disappointing him

* If we sound morose/dumb-struck...
* Shame about #CarlGrimes: finite number of scenes with him and #Negan
* Hoping Carl's demise isn't a "fruitless"/senseless one
* The Owl Festival flash-forward: a farewell to #Comics readers? How #RickGrimes driving away #Siddiq, initially, caused an alternate timeline
* What Carl's death means for the show's future and the #ComicBook Reader reaction
* Show writers dangling #JudithGrimes throughout the episode to mess with us
* Rick had visions of Laurie, ergo...
* Other than Carl's death, #TheSanctuary (not just structural, but psychological) damage alone might be enough to get #Negan to the table
* Even though Simon seems more terrifying than Negan, at times, #MaggieRhee seems like the only bright spot in this episode
* Prediction: Potential villain? Winter
* ...wait, where(/who) does Jerry end up (with)?
* I thought his name was "Dillon"...? Who's "Al"?
* Roanoke Distillery: tell me all about your Spirits. No, that's alright, go ahead.
* Maggie, not giving up, moves strategically, spiting her emotional state.
* #StevenOgg is sketchy and #AndrewLincoln's British accent is fake.
* No time to bury yourself in grief, Zeke! And Gavin's mysterious relationship with #KingEzekiel
* The unknown vein of resistance within #TheSaviors
* And now #Michonne might go full #MorganJones...
* ...but will Carl's death affect Negan? Our cynicism is overwhelming...
* A somber farewell to Alexandria as a setting after many seasons
* Dwight as a negotiation piece? And #Tara possibly taking him off the board.
* Dave hates that #FrankDarabont is still in the credits
* Our apologies for a less structured, downer of an episode
* #RedMachete is giving us a reason to hang on
* Dave admits that 85% of him feels that there's a chance that Carl won't die, to Carol's 15% feeling.
* How long can #TheWalkingDead stick to the same formula? Are they planning an end game?
* #TWD's 2nd tagline (after "#AllOutWar"): It's going to be messy! You may not like how we get there, but you'll get what you want!

December 02, 2017 [Episode 7] Season 8, Episode 7 of The Walking Dead, "Time for After"
SquawkingDead.com: overhauled AGAIN!
Long, but stay the course! We go pretty deep & get personal!
Background Music by Bear McCreary
* #TheWalkingDead has refined their solitary character-centric episodes, and this one, with #EugenePorter, is peak.
* Try as you might, #TheSaviors get blood on their hands
* Constant, scattered, and subtle reminders throughout the episode of why being a Savior sucks
* Eugene is a Dufus and Dwight ain't f***in' around - both are committed to what were once opposing causes
* Eugene is a good guy that has only known safety, but the lengths that he goes to maintain it...
* Why Eugene is "#Negan": his talents have actual purpose at #TheSanctuary, as opposed to his uselessness in Alexandria
* #DrCarson cuts through Eugene's Savior bullsh** and gets #FatherGabriel... weed... via con juana
* Why the guts won't work, anymore, or why the Toxic #Walkers made Father Gabriel so sick, so fast *ding-ding*
* Why Tanya's priorities may not be right, but she's not wrong: either way, another living reminder of life with The Saviors
* Tanya and Father Gabriel's takeaway: just do the right thing when you see it. You'll know when.
* Our thoughts return to the helicopter from a couple of episodes back: another unheard of group propping up The Saviors, an entirely unknown 3rd party, The Saviors, or the vehicle to the series finale?
* This episode is chock full of reminders of both #RickGrimes' Crew's bravery and The Savior's safety/cruelty: both are tugging at Eugene
* Eugene's pure and full act of bravery is thwarted
* Why Negan isn't full of s**t while singing Eugene's praises: Eugene understands what Negan's trying to do without a Father Gabriel confession
* Why Negan really "ain't the dyin' type": something Rick's Crew and Tanya doesn't get
* Evidence of Eugene's authentic committment to the on-paper mission of The Saviors and why he's so mad/decimated when his act of #bravery is shut down
* Negan, Eugene, and their in medias res conversation about making more bullets... but why does he spare Dwight? And what will he do, now?
* The shocking return and amazing self-awareness of #MorganJones
* #Rosita's not-so-obviously difficult decision to bow out of the #TARYL party
* #Michonne's apprehension (and plea to #DarylDixon) in joining TARYL and why she leaves
* Why Tara is poking Daryl in the tuchas with her pitchfork: the character arc that leads her here
* Taryl's plan accelerated Rick's plan but enabled Negan's escape
* Riffing on The Dumpsters' strangeness: Scientologists? Do they lead by committee, in large part?
* "Time for After": Fighting Proto-Winslow and Rick's infinite patience and J.A.H.K. (Junkyard, Alexandria, #TheHilltop, #TheKingdom)
* Junkyard Gang and Rick: Sanctuary lookouts are abandoned, gates are Walker free... how much time has actually passed?!
* #TantricDeath will finally claim its victims: as #TantricDeath goes, it'll be a whopper. May Rick's mercy prevail over his wrath
* #Bravo's "The People's Couch" and the 3 typical reactions to the more shocking scenes in #TWD
* How TWD has perfectly laid out wild, but legitimate possibilities of where they can go next
** Sneak Peeks **
* #MaggieRhee encounters the (callback) knocked down #trees. Dammit
* #Enid stops to "pick up" something with Aaron and why it reenforces our mistrustful inclinations
* Negan at the gates of Alexandria and the blood on Eugene's hands: Why #ChrisHardwick is wrong about Eugene
** General Observations **
* #JoshMcDermitt's real life woes and why he should lean in to the hate
* Negan: modeled by #HenryRollins in the comics, perfected by #JeffreyDeanMorgan
* Vulgarity and Violence: why is the former is regulated, but the latter is left to the show-runners? Watching edgy entertainment with children and talking about our upbringing
* Revisiting #XanderBerkeley in T2, why older men tend to look sexier, and how men and women can #OwnIt as they age
* How and why Daryl will die
