SSAA Podcast

Now that we don’t have to worry about hurricanes (for now), we can now talk about anime, kinda. This was something that the people on this episode had requested to do for some time now. We are going to be talking about the French MMO turned cartoon, Wakfu.

I thought this show would be a great way to kick off the theme for the 80s. Since we don’t usually have a set plan for what we want to talk about (and clearly it shows), I thought it would be kinda cool to have an overall theme this run of episodes. This will be all about magic. It can range from wizards to magical girls to magic wielding mechs. A couple of surprises will be thrown in between various episodes, so expect to have a lot of firmware updates.

Did I say mid-July? Oh well. We seem to love to take breaks, that or we were too lazy to do a little bit of work for the sake of the podcast. Now that we are at 80, it means we have to go through our past episodes and go over all the errors we have made. A few dead dogs later, we ended up talking about the Fall season of anime. We bring over Jammer from the AniManga Podcast and Funkatron from...the Ass Backwards Anime Podcast.

Ass Backwards Gaming Podcast returns to fill in time before 80. Yeah, I clearly hate myself and want to have more errors to read once we finally record that episode. To be honest, this is meant to be the last episode for this month since we have cons coming up and we need to start counting up errors. We will be back in mid-July since I am sure by then we will have everything sorted out. Until then, you can keep listening to Just A Gintama Podcast and One Podcast Prevails. I should also add that both our Gintama and Detective Conan shows are now on iTunes. Go and subscribe now.

Funk is here, which means we have some anime we are going to preview. This was actually meant to be a short episode to fill in the time before 80, but I decided last minute to record another episode right after that which I will release in a little while. Unfortunately, this episode was riddled with audio problems and I apologize for the issues. I came close to scrapping the episode but I realized we haven’t released anything in a while so I thought it would be best to at least release something.

Here is the continuation of the previous episode. This time we are talking about our thoughts of the spring anime season for 2011. I don’t know why I decided to break this up into two episode. Oh well.

We are back from Canada and we got a lot to talk about. Mainly, what we ate while we were there. Sorry. We do, however, talk about our time spent at Anime North 2011. Then, we went back to talking about what we ate. Again, sorry.

Hey, this is Doctor. Since there is not going to be a release for a little while due to us going Anime North, I thought it would be best if I at least post this on the feed for people to listen to until we get back. Here is a Bonus Round episode I did for Anime 3000 not long ago. I guess you can consider this a pseudo Challenge Accepted entry. All killer, no filler for these notes. We talk about Middle Tennessee Anime Convention. We have Gaara and Naruto from the Konoha Corner podcast, John from Chainsaw Buffet and the show debut of CJ Hitchcock from the D2 Brigade.

Oh good, Blogger is back up. Looks like I can finally put up the notes for this episode. The SSAG returns to talk about some video game movies. This will be painful. Our good friend Richy McBeefy returns to the show and John from the Chainsaw Buffet podcast also stops by.

This was an episode that we planned to do a while back, but terrible sound quality caused it to never be released. Now that we have time to rerecord, we can finally bring to you our episode dedicated to the Korean filmmaker, Park Chan-wook. Hopefully, we will get back to anime very soon.
