In this final episode of our first season of Stand In Me, we discuss freedom, which we define as the ability to act without constraint, and without being opposed by outside forces.
We discuss the changes we’ve made in our lives on our personal paths to living more free, unrestrained lives, and how these changes haven’t always been comfortable. We talk about deconstructing societal notions about what we should be doing with our time, and what our lives should look like. We discuss how anxiety and depression often serve as indicators to us that something in our lives is out of balance. Finally, we discuss learning to hold space for this unease, and allowing it to show us what we need on our path to freedom.
As always, thank you for joining us! Love to all.
Stephanie and Carmen discuss the importance of leading by example, leading from where you are, and showing up in your life as the most authentic and honest version of yourself.
Do your actions and intentions align with what you expect from others? Does the way you treat yourself reflect the way you want others to treat you? And are you giving the space, patience and grace necessary to the best the most present version of yourself that you can be?
Join us as we grapple with these questions, share our experiences, and dive in!
Carmen shares the harrowing story of how she lost her breasts twice. After first having them removed in order to prevent her from developing breast cancer (to which she is genetically predisposed), she came to learn that her breast implants had been recalled by Health Canada, and that they were responsible for the barrage of health problems she had begun to experience.
What followed was a months-long journey through a medical & bureaucratic labyrinth, during which she faced adversity and obstacles at every turn, as she sought to have her breasts removed a second time.
Join us for a moving and powerful conversation about grief, tenacity, courage, and finding the strength to claim agency and demand answers at any cost.
In this special episode, Stephanie introduces her incredible new program, Courageous Healing With Love: Mapping Life After Loss. Steph built this program specifically for women who, like her, have experienced pregnancy loss.
This program includes a series of deep, insightful lessons, written exercises, and three therapy sessions directly with Steph. It takes an intuitive, compassionate, and work-focused approach that puts you in control, and serves to gently guide you as you work through your grief, undergo the healing process that is uniquely yours, and through it, create space in your life for something new and beautiful.
To learn more about this incredible program and how you can take part in it, join Stephanie for a small, intimate and free webinar on January 26th via Zoom, where she will discuss everything in detail. Spaces for the program go on sale that same day.

Stephanie and Carmen discuss comfort zones; how we develop them, how they shape us, how they can restrain us, and how they often become uncomfortable with time. How in moments when we are being called to enter new stages of personal growth, we may find ourselves too complacent or terrified to move forward.
Life isn’t always supposed to be comfortable. Life is full of change, and sometimes, change is difficult – but change is necessary, and we must learn to embrace it. Join us as we share the lessons we have learned about our own comfort zones, and how we have challenged them in order to embrace change and show up more in our lives.
Stephanie and Carmen discuss the distinct roles that men and women often play in relationships, and the responsibilities & expectations these roles entail. Why do these roles exist? Why do we choose take on these roles? Are they serving us in our lives, or are they causing us unnecessary stress?
We must ask ourselves the question: do we do the things we do because we want to do them, or because they are expected of us? And what changes can we make in our relationships – and our lives – to make space for the things that really matter to us?
At the end of what has been a difficult year for many people, Stephanie and Carmen discuss starting 2021 with setting an “intention” – selecting a word that embodies an energy, feeling, or wish that will help to both anchor them and direct the course of their personal evolution over the course of the coming year.
In setting an intention, we allow ourselves to show up more fully in all aspects of our lives. We grant ourselves the agency – and the permission – to process difficult and painful experiences and come away with newfound knowledge, strength and beauty.
Carmen and Stephanie are addressing Language.
Language is Power!
We have an opportunity to change the world by changing the words that we use and how we speak our reality into existence.
We discuss shifting the words that we use to energetically shift our power!
Following your nudges and trusting yourself to follow the breadcrumbs that you find.
Often times we will be shown or offered opportunities that seem so outside of our current understanding of the world. Our gut will tell us whether this feels good or now. Trusting your internal guidance system to lead you to the next breadcrumbs,
With some brilliant insight from one of our young colleagues - we opened up the conversation around how Men are in the Bars talking about business and Women are talking about Men.
