We hear stories of persecuted Christians in China, North Korea, Africa, Iran and more praying for God's protection as they are imprisoned, tortured or even murdered for the sake of the gospel. Some Christians face a health crisis, poverty, and wonder how they will put food on the table for their families because they are out of work. They go from day to day praying and trusting in God for His provision and protection, remaining faithful in the face of serious challenges. And then there are people like Kenneth Copeland...

According to his so-called ministry, Copeland recently heard from God that he needed another luxury jet to accommodate his overseas excursions; and that God miraculously sent Tyler Perry his way to sell him a luxurious Gulfstream V private jet. All of this on the financial backs of naive followers who believe in Copeland's "prosperity gospel teaching." But wait, apparently the luxurious jet Copeland received is not quite good enough because he is asking his followers for another $2.5 million for "necessary upgrades" to his new toy - and $17 million for a hanger to house the jet. We tackle details in our second segment.

In the book of 1 John, the writer tells us God is love. In fact He loves so perfectly that He provided every person the opportunity to be forgiven of our sins and to spend eternity with Him through the sacrifice of His Son, Jesus Christ. Greater love than this the world has never known.

But it happened, and no matter what you think of him, it is obvious he is driving the globalists and socialists into a frenzy. Their plans for a one world government are now being challenged by a man many didn't see coming. He is challenging the status quo, the Democrats, the United Nations and the globalist elites at every turn; and he is doing the unthinkable in their eyes: supporting Israel.

Some will go to any extreme to try and derail or stop President Trump and things sure are heating up. The Bible is clear that a one world government under the influence of Satan and his puppet, the Antichrist, will one day rule mankind until Jesus returns. But just how close are we to that and can anything be done to slow down the inevitable?

Most of us would admit we are in desperate need of revival in the church as many have become lukewarm and Christians lack the cultural influence we used to have. America today barely resembles the America we who are older remember. God has been escorted out of public education, Hollywood and television openly promote an anti-Christian message, government has grown more godless regardless of political party, more people seem confused about their gender, and we continue to kill more than 1 million babies through abortion every year.

Some are wondering if America's defiance toward God has gone beyond the point of redemption. Today we discuss and speculate: is it possible for America to again become a great nation by repenting, preaching and standing on God's Word? What would have to happen to make it so? With all that is happening in our country and world, we need to remember with God, nothing is impossible.

President Trump's proclamation of Jerusalem as Israel's capital has set another prophetic wheel in motion to show the world's hatred for Israel, just as the Bible foretold. And the influence of Satan on world leaders and governments is slowly bringing the world to the final stage where all nations will stand in opposition to God.

One sign of just how blind people of this world have become is the acceptance of Islam as a "religion of peace" in spite of its history and leaders calling for death to Christians and Jews along with anyone who opposes Muslim domination of this world. Europe, through increased Muslim immigration, is slowly turning into a war zone where non-Muslims are attacked and "Sharia Zones" are being set up including "No Go Zones" where police won't even enter. Despite these developments, Europe's leaders lack the courage to admit their mistakes and the grave dangers they have put their citizens under.

And even here in the U.S. we see Christian Churches opposing Israel and refusing to see Islam for what it is: a socio-political, economic system wanting global domination and using a false deity to advance its goals. Meanwhile, millions of Muslims risk eternal separation from God because we as Christians lack the courage and wisdom to share the truth of the gospel with them.

Elijah Abraham, a former Muslim and now born-again believer, joins us this morning. Elijah travels the world speaking to persecuted Christians and educating pastors on how to understand and combat Islam.

Satan, the enemy of our souls, is a powerful adversary with many weapons. He is the father of lies and the master of evil with thousands of years of experience in how to tempt and distract people from God. We are told to both resist him, stand firm in Christ, and to reject his sinfully seductive arguments and ways.

One of the ways he tempts us is with worldly pursuits that sound good including the pursuit of - not holiness and godliness - but the American dream. There's nothing wrong with working for a living, paying our bills and taking care of our family, but we often take it much further to coveting or even the pursuit of wealth.

The enemy is dangerous enough, we don't need to make his job easier by becoming obsessed with the pleasures of this world and things that overwhelm us with activities and fruitless pursuits. Sadly, we may one day find ourselves more distant from God and unable to hear His voice through His Word.

Last week, the United Nations condemned the United States for daring to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, even though this has been an historic fact going back thousands of years. And while one reason behind the UN decision was Muslim nations now dominate the UN general Assembly, could there be another reason behind this decision?
