This weeks guest is Errol McGlashan. I have known him since 2011. I have been a comedian and an actor for years. Errol in my opinion is a great actor but he beats me in the in the form of spoken word. He is brilliant at it , I have written plays and monologues but the form of poetry eludes me. He was the spoken word artist of the year in 2019.
Today Errol will be sharing his journey but he will also be talking about his one man show called Something to Take Off the Edge. A short precis of the show, Ezra and Terry flirt with Heroin , Chocolate HobNobs and Shakespeare while serving long term prison sentences in 1980's Britain. He has served time so you will be seeing truth. I have seen it , it is very good. He is now looking for more venues to take the show. There will be no charge as he is seeking a touring grant. All he needs is a commitment. Email him at [email protected]

This is the very show I wanted to start the podcast with and only one person I wanted on to discuss this.Ross is a prime example of a ex rough sleeper who has now risen to senior management in a homeless charity. I know several people like him and he is one of my experts.
This casts lasts over 50 minutes, I will take responsibility for this for as I always enjoy talking to him.
He does say he is concentrating on London as that is where he works but London has 60% of the homeless in the country.
Rough sleepers are 6%. They are the visible ones that the public see.
We cover several cases and go over quite a few situations but what is the solution?
Listen to a person who works within the sector and all over London and the home counties.
If you enjoyed this maybe you might wish to join my mailing list or you have a story you wish to share. Email me at [email protected]

This week's episode is Knife Crime, The growing menace!!!
My guest this week is Jackie Reid.
You will hear her personal tale how she got involved in this.
I feel the only solution is a total ban but I heard about this through something called a bleed kit. They cost a £110 now, hear what they are.
Hear of the trauma, people go through.
Last Thursday there was another bill going through Parliament banning zombie knives but not swords.
What can be done?

Nicola is passionate about helping people. I first tried to get her to talk to me about her experience as a woman on the streets. This was for the Pavement, she refused and I don't take umbrage for that, I accepted and over the years I would say a friendship has evolved.
I know I felt she was app addicted but now I will say it is amazing. Try it out and see!
