4th July is not only American independence day in the UK it will be the general election.
 Who will be the ruling party after that date.

Since the date was announced we have been barraged with political debates, this year more than any other year.

I review the main parties and the representatives, I will give my own views but the final decision is yours. I am not asking you to agree with me but to consider what I am saying.

The figures came out this week for homelessness in London, the country follows this trend. Now rough sleepers has increased by 19% but what is more scary is youth homelessness has increased by 33%. Now solutions are offered but they are offering temporary ways of solving this growing problem.

This is a pet subject of mine, I see lots of empty building and feel this might be a way to tackle homelessness.
Andrew put a posting and I invited him on to talk about it. He brought up some things to consider
He brought up the point of priority need. What is priority need?
Why can't these empty buildings be used to help the homeless?
The question of education came up, who needs it?
This is not a simple issue as you will hear.

On LBC he was asked to apologise his reply was and he used this phrase several times he said " I am sorry you feel this way", is that an apology?
The other undercurrent in this election is the NHS, my point is how many NHS dentists are their?

Let me state now this is not about telling you how to vote. I personally believe you should vote how you want election is looming, less than three weeks to go!! 
Neil Salmons  is my main sounding board for the podcast. He  made a point are people getting election overload?  Why should they vote?.
The question I also want to look is this an election of policy or personalities?
So we discussed several points, using the televised debates as our model of information but took some of course from the promises made by each party.
We looked at each representative and our personal opinion.
Finally we gave our thoughts about the promises made.

Politics hold sway 
The amount of televised "debates" are becoming a main tool in a party's publicity machine.
Some of you I am sure will remember the days of the party political broadcast was the way to promote your party's view , now its is becoming like a soap opera, forget Eastenders , the question should on everyone lips did you watch the latest episode of "We want your vote!".
So listen to what I observed the one worry I can see is that UK Reform could become  a major party and I will admit is the Farage element .
The question is , is he really sincere?  
So listen and consider what I have to say, In my world you have the right to vote how you want to, NOT how I tell you.

As the election  is now in full mode our news stories are all come from that source.
1/ The Diane Abbot debacle one moment she can't stand next moment she can.

2/ The big shocker of the week is that Nigel Farage states he is now standing for the Reform Party, not only that but he is now the leader of the party and Tice has stepped aside.

3/ Tuesdays televised debate between Sunak and Starmer. The Prime Minister went for the jugular and mentioned £2000 tax bill that he stated Labour will impose.
Since then it has been revealed he lied several times, so watch this space.

A side note that the polls show labour with a massive lead ,  they are in order Labour, Conservatives , Reform Party and Liberal Democrats.

Today my guests are from an amazing charity  called Just Life, they are based in Brighton and Manchester. They are Fran and Alex, two prime examples of what we need working in an area that can be emotionally draining.
I think you can tell if a person is dedicated to their job or just going through the motions.
I would say these are prime examples of what is needed in this work.
