Whenever I meet Mike I am impressed by his knowledge.
Mike admitted this was click bate but he has so much knowledge and experiences to share. I must click bate one day but I thought my stunning good looks would be enough. As they say I have a perfect face for radio.
There are so many points that came up but he lives in Bedford , he says that rough sleeping is down, while in London it has gone up by one third.

This week , the big news is our Chancellor now has a pet phrase "If we can't afford it, we won't spend it".
Although we are looking at filling a 22 billion pound shortfall, the reality is a  35 billion shortfall, but our reserves brought it down.
How was she going to get this back.
She had a phrase which one day may go down in history "If we cannot afford it we will not pay for it".
Then the first death knell , people on state pension will not get the winter warmth payment but if you were on pension credit, hear what pension credit is.
Now more people can't get this needed benefit.
As usual I share some stories.

Today my guest is Matt. he and his partner Jess founded the museum in 2017 and today we hear the story of what they do and the barriers they have had to overcome.
No they don't have a homeless person in a glass but using stories they share the truth.
The other thing I noticed is how welcoming the people are.
I plan to go their again in a few weeks, I will announce when and anybody can meet me.

What a week it has been for news, actually I changed my mind several times.
But here it is and the last one is one I created.
1/ Biden stands down, that is not surprising but Farage had to fly out, he was asked why but side stepped that. What about his constituancy?
2/ The mess that the Conservative party are you, Badenock and Atkins actually fighting on the front bench to get heard was an embarrassment.
3/ I wrote to the press office to ask what the government were going to do about homelessness. Hear what they said.

This week it is the Power of Co-production Part One
First there is some reverb, the actual interview is not spoiled and at first I thought it was the heat but my microphone is now deceased, it is no more, I will be getting a temporary one , it is on its way.
Today I am out personed, not English I know, I have not one guest but three, scary eh!. My guests this week are Jen a manager from The Centre of Homeless Impact plus two of her people from the organisations lived experience panel, Anne and Cristina. Three amazing people and I felt this was going to be a simple interview.No, as usual I was wrong, all three of them will be returning for in truth we only touched one side of it.
If I look at the dictionary it says, the meaning of co-production is " a way of working whereby everybody works together on an equal basis to create a service or come to a decision which works for them all".I am sure when you listen to this you will hear some amazing viewpoints  here are a few quotes ,
"I was invited to speak at a meeting, after I spoke the person running it ignored me and referred to the person who spoke  before hand".
",As a person on co-production panel you are an integral part of the organisation"

There was so much wisdom flowing in this interview I wish I could bottle it and I am looking forward to part 2.

Nicola Tennant ran away from the care system , not once but twice.

She had been place in care at the age of six.

Why did she runaway, hear her tale in her own words. This is a tale of oppression. Now you might think there are only a few, I have spoken to a few people and the reasons are similar. She also  presents the numbers that it is happening NOW.

As usual three stories to look at, two are from across the water, the final one is the big one  of course is  the General Election.
The first two stories involve the Supreme Court in the USA.
As you may be aware Former President Donald Trump is facing several charges , both criminal and federal, he has stated several times that he can't be charged as he has total immunity as President.
Now the Supreme Court has made a ruling saying that any act he makes in his role as President he does have immunity. This is worrying as there are the grey areas.
The question is should a Premier of any  country have that sort of power e.g. If this had been around when Nixon was found guilty , he could not of been charged with Watergate. 
A few days ago the Supreme Court made another ruling, they gave local authorities the right to burn down the tent cities that had sprung up around cities. 
We in this country do have a habit of following ideas from other countries, what would you say if they started burning down homeless peoples tents?
Finally today they announced the result of the General Election. Labour won which was not surprising but several Ministers lost their seats.
I wanted three people to not get elected, Sue Ellen Braverman as she seems to make every statement sound like hate. Nigel Farage as he believes stopping the migrants is the cure for everything and Liz Truss as she is still spouting the same rubbish that almost destroyed the country. Well I only got one .
The question is what does the future hold?
