She said I am a hoarder and the clutter was driving her crazy. So she gave it all away! Find out how we deal with clutter and a few tips on how to clear a cluttered mind and a cluttered desk.
Do not compare somebody else's middle with your beginning. Often we judge ourselves by what we see in other people. Our perception is that their lives are much better than they actually are. It comes down to the grass is always greener on the other side. Often times we think our life would be so much better if we just had, if we just did, if we just were…
We need to realize that our lives have unlimited potential. It is up to us to unleash that potential. If we are not where we want to be at this exact moment it is up to us to start taking the steps to get to where we want to go. It is up to us to change so that our future changes. However, without a change today there will be the same tomorrow.
So, if you're looking at someone else thinking I wish I had, I wish I was, I wish I were… Now is the time to stop judging their middle and start your beginning.
At What Age Do We Give Up?
This week the question arose, at what age do we stop achieving in life and become comfortable with life?
For Little Shannon, at the age of 30 you start wondering if this is how life will always be? Am I doing anything purposeful? I think you start questioning life around that age. By 35 I think people just say this is my life and I am too old to change it.
Why do you think this happens?
Join us as we walk you through the 15 tip article below for reasons why people give up on their dreams. We walk you through the article with personal stories of failures that turned to success. We believe when you apply the failure as a lesson and move forward success will be achieved. Listen in to today's podcast to help you apply tips to your life to reach the top!
Standing Stronger Podcast
Season 2: Episode 2
Why does it matter?
Welcome back: What is new since last week with Big Shannon?
What is new with Little Shannon? Last week before school starts. Jordan starts 7th grade and Makenzie starts VPK. I am a Senior. Looking forward to a routine again. Summer is fun but I work best with a plan for the week.
So we strive to help our listeners feel as they are not alone here. We all face trials in a day but that does not define who we are. So this week we will share how overwhelmed we can get in a day. Your attitude matters!
An example for me is saying yes to to many things. Me, a wife, a mom, a business owner, a cheer coach, a friend. If I go on then I could break down what each of those jobs entail but we do not have time for that. But the overwhelming feeling to accomplish so much in a day becomes exhausting.
Big Shannon discuss his day of overwhelming things
What helps us stay on track:
Starting the day with exercise
Having a schedule of task
Time Management in the schedule
Cut off time from work
Sleep
When you start to feel overwhelmed, Take a step back, take a deep breath, and release.
Welcome Back- Season 1 was about anxiety, depression, suicide attempt, child abuse, brain surgery, dad passing, and knowing that you are not alone. The struggles are real and we did our best to bring hope to the hopeless and have healing for ourselves during that time.
Nowwwww we are on to the next chapter. We are thriving, happy, struggling, broken at times but better together. We are here in Season 2 to continue bringing hope and to bring laughter in our everyday lives and to help our listeners understand that we all have trials or struggles but those things do not define us!
