The Tampa Bay Lightning finished off the New York Rangers Saturday night, giving the Colorado Avalanche their opponent in the Stanley Cup Finals. The Avalanche are looking to win their third championship in franchise history while attempting to keep the Lightning from winning their third straight title.

This is the matchup we all wanted. The NHL included. From a ratings standpoint, this should be a home run. So many talented, skilled players on both sides along with the Lightning going for three in a row is an easy sell to even the most fair-weather fan.

For the Avalanche, to be the best you need to beat the best. And that is what stands in front of the Avs.

Who gets the start in goal? When will Kadri and Cogliano return? Plus an old Avs coach has some glowing words for the team....but surprisingly silent on another important aspect of the team.
