Star Trek: The Rewatch

Grant and Rob talk about the wonderful Q and his first real ‘Q episode’. TNG is still very much finding its feet at this stage, but this episode pulls out some Shakespeare, and includes some nice philosophical points, as well as Q’s usual exuberance.

Episode synopsis: Q returns to the Enterprise to tempt Commander Riker into joining the Q Continuum with the lure of Q’s powers. Originally broadcast in the US on 23 November , 1987. [Source: Memory Alpha]

Quote:  “I never wanted to compound one… illusion with another. It might be real to Q,… perhaps even you, sir. But it would never be so to me.”
