Star Wars: Old Canon Book Club

And so...at the end of the journey...was not even just Droids and Ewoks again but also ANOTHER re-telling of the first Star Wars movie?!?! At least it's gorgeous! Join Alex, Davis, and Jesse, as on this week's episode, they finish the reading portion of season 1 with the surprisingly enjoyable The Original Marvel Years, Droids & Ewoks!

And hey! Now 3 of the 5 episodes of our special Patreon finale mini-series, Tracking Bantha Tracks, where the boys spend SUPERSIZED episodes, tracking the fan newsletter from BEFORE there was a magazine, from 1978-1987 are available early for Legacy of the Force patrons and above at Patreon.com/SWOCBC! It's the same price as a few cups of caf a month and we could use the support!

Everyone's back for season 2 of the Ewoks cartoon...but something's...just a little...different? Whether by corporate edict or for creative purposes, each episode is now split into two shorter episodes, which is not exactly better, and not exactly worse, and Wicket's hood changing color is the LEAST of Alex, Davis, and Jesse's problems on this week's SWOCBC!

And if you like what you hear, consider supporting us on Patreon, where you can check out the first two episodes of our MEGA-SIZED finale bonus Tracking Bantha Tracks, where the boys spend hours speeding through the fan club newsletter from BEFORE it was a magazine, finally giving them a glimpse at fandom as the movies were releasing and in the dark uncertain years beyond! For instant early access, head over to Patreon.com/SWOCBC and sign up on the Legacy of the Force tier or higher!

From the villains of Indiana Jones to a forgotten THREE-SEASON USA/Canadian sitcom adaptation of Maniac Mansion by the legendary Eugene Levy and Joe Flaherty, Inside the Insider Collection 4 covers episodes 10, 11, and 12 of our Patreon Bonus show all about chronologically reading the official fan magazine of the franchise!

For the first episode of our EXTREMELY CHUNKY bonus miniseries, Tracking Bantha Tracks, which covers the fan club when the magazine was just a newsletter, head over to Patreon.com/SWOCBC!

With another inexplicably excellent and unexpected theme song to welcome them in, Alex, Davis, and Jesse are buckling down and housing an entire season of the Ewoks children's cartoon all in one go! But will Paul Dini and Taj Mahal be enough to save them from five hours of drudgery? Find out on this week's episode!

And good news! SWNCBC Legends Collection Volume 3 is here, including our reviews of The Last Jedi, Phasma, and Inferno Company, COMPLETELY FREE FOR EVERYONE at Patreon.com/SWOCBC! We could use your support!

The Original Marvel Comics run ends here! Join Alex, Davis, and Jesse as all threads come together into one giant final confrontation! But is it good or goofy and bizarre like usual??? AND jump all the way forward to 2019 for one last ride! All that's left after this is a bunch of Ewoks!

The beginning of the end of the protoverse is here! Join Alex, Davis, and Jesse as they read through the FIRST HALF of the FINAL VOLUME of the original Marvel Comics Star Wars comic! But will it be followed by a reboot, or are they leading us straight to the Zahniverse???

This one's not just for Nobot, but for ALL the low-res background characters out there that end up on the wiki and randomly get rabid followings for no discernable reason. Sort of. Actually, Alex, Davis and Jesse are here to answer YOUR burning questions, engage with what YOU thought of what we watched, and...go off on several long but ultimately interesting tangents! It's time for another SWOCBC Q&A!

Everyone has a breaking point, and this week on the second half of Alex, Davis, and Jesse's look at Droids: The Adventures of R2-D2 and C-3P0, them bois may or may not have found theirs. But not all is lost! There IS an all astro-mech 1980's Vegas-style harem lounge, so please, join us for another week of SWOCBC: the road to the 90's!

Is it weird to say that Stuart Copeland may be one of the best Star Wars composers of all time? Why is C-3P0 so caked up? How come so many things from the sequel trilogy seem to look to the Star Wars: Droids animated series for inspiration? Do Alex, Davis, and Jesse like this or hate this or both? What is anything anymore these days anyway, right? It's just this brain designed by man that's got me...in trouble again...trouble again!
