It’s an extra-special special episode as we sit down with Alex Ray and Jim Mello, co-creators of the wildly popular and strikingly imaginative A Star Wars Comic as we mark the completion of a year’s worth of stories and tales from a galaxy far, far away in our respective head canon.

They’ve taken us — and you — from one end of the Star Wars galaxy to another, introducing new characters alongside with old favorites. In short, it’s been a wild ride and while we knew it’s time would come to an end with the final six-page issue on Dec. 27.

Except for one thing: WE WERE WRONG! Listen to find out why!

Plenty to be thankful for when it came to Marvel's November slate of Star Wars comics, including a pair of double-dips for the Star Wars and Darth Vader series.

Reading Poe Dameron gave us all kinds of feels, especially if you harbor affection for not just Leia Organa, but Padme Amidala.

Meanwhile, Alex Ray and Jim Mello struck gold with their latest issue of A Star Wars Comic where a Gonk droid serves as the focal point of a certain view from A New Hope. It's a shame the series is drawing to a close, but we've got high hopes they'll find a way to keep it going.

Star Wars comics reviewed this month, include:
Star Wars #38 and #39
Doctor Aphra #14
Darth Vader #7 and #8
Poe Dameron #21
A Star Wars Comic #11
Star Wars: Jedi of the Republic — Mace Windu #4

It’s another episode of our youngling — and not so youngling — focused Young Padawans Edition.

Matt Moore, Jeff McGee and Amy Wishman Nalan are joined by Emily, Jerry and Micah to discuss IDW Publishing’s Star Wars Adventures #3, featuring stories by Landry Q. Walker, Alan Tudyk and Shannon Denton, with art by Eric Jones, Arianna Florean, letters by Tom B. Long and Christa Miesner and colors by Monica Kubina.

What did the padawans think of Finn’s adventures with a cute, purple pest and K-2SO’s Adventures in wookiee-Sitting?

Listen and find out!

Views, news and reviews as Jeff McGee and Matt Moore tackle October’s prodigious output of Star Wars comics from Marvel Entertainment.

Plenty of hits, some misses, but definitely a full complement far-reaching stories that continue to add to the complex layers of characters we’ve been following for years, if not decades, along with some careful consideration about events between Revenge of the Sith and Star Wars Rebels, along with happenings between A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back.

You wondered, aloud even: "Where's the discussion about IDW Publishing's Star Wars Adventures?"

It's right here!

We were intrigued when IDW, in announcing the new series earlier this year, noted that its stories were aimed at younglings and younglings at heart. After two issues, it's obvious there's no better way to explain the delightfully scripted and superbly illustrated stories.

In the spirit of this comic, we're taking a different tack with Star War Adventures.

Writer and podcaster Amy Wisman Nalan is joining not just Jeff McGee and Matt Moore, but a trio of young padawans -- Emily, Jerry and Micah -- to talk about each month's adventures in the pages of this comic book.

Enjoy our inaugural outing and come back monthly to hear this group younglings and younglings at heart talk about Star Wars Adventures. We think you'll like it. In fact, we're hoping you'll listen and decide:

"A full portion!"

It's autumn up here in our hemisphere.

While leaves are falling, and the countdown clock is flipping closer and closer to Star Wars: The Last Jedi, we're slating our Star Wars thirst with a bevy of Star Wars comics from Marvel and IDW Publishing, as well as a couple of young upstarts from down in central Florida, too.

September's comics ran the gamut from Prequel Trilogy-era events in the Clone Warsto Original Trilogy-era nefariousness to Sequel Trilogy-era malfeasance.

There was also a Dickensian-inspired Sithmas carol that brought us a bunch of Darths, including Bane, Malgusand Vader.

Star Wars comics reviewed this month, include:
_ Rogue One #6
_ Star Wars #36
_ Star Wars Annual #3
_ Doctor Aphra #12
_ Darth Vader #5
_ Journey to Star Wars: The Last Jedi -- Captain Phasma #1 and #2
_ Poe Dameron #19
_ A Star Wars Comic #9
_ Star Wars: Jedi of the Republic — Mace Windu #2
