Stat Check

Just in time for the balance dataslate we have a mid-grotmas stats-driven tier list update and it's with a full crew! Anthony, Jeremy, Nathan, and Innes are all here with their takes on the current meta.

If you're interested in our response to the balance dataslate, tune in next week or check out our reaction video here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6OBEzBbG54k

Innes won an RTT with Aeldar! Anthony played the hardest RTT he could! Nathan has the stats! (oh and also Innes won Celtic Cup and talks about his run)

(the gang also discusses the first three Grotmas detachments - watch this space for more!)

Champions of 40k is a podcast that seeks to celebrate the people that make our hobby great. Hosted by Steve Joll.

Tom Lowman, I am told, has the nicest voice in 40k. He's a hard working, lovely man who also happens to be a fantastic player and a great ambassador for our game. He hosts the 6+++ podcast, is a coach with the English WTC team, writes for Goonhammer and has othert podcasts on the go too!

In this episode Tom and I talk about history, and community, and streaming, and we even manage to chat quite a bit about 40k.

This is the 6+++ youtube page.

It's a quieter week with Innes and Jeremy recovering from their respective tournaments. Nathan and Anthony are here to discuss the rise in Genestealer Cults, where they see the meta going, and what December may hold for the game.

While the world championships of warhammer rage on in Atlanta, let's talk about what else is going on--an we promise we won't switch back and forth between this and Age of Sigmar.

Innes and Nathan are on tonight to discuss the upcoming World Championships of Warhammer. They go through the groups, review some of Jeremy's statistical predictions for the groups, and take your questions.

This week we're reviewing the first month (or so) of stats with the new balance update, talk about the upcoming World Championships of Warhammer, and also we have a special guest! Nexos Floof, genestealer cults creator extraordinaire joins us for the first of hopefully many times and chats about their performance this past weekend at Cali Cup and their match into Stat Check's own Anthony Vanella!

When Tabletop Titans started their live streaming of games - high quality video and audio, having fun, being competitive, but also being super nice guys on screen - they became an inspiration. These guys were doing something new technically, but also they were high level competitive players who were having a blast, allowing take backs, not getting salty … playing good 40k in a way that made me want to do the same.

This week I speak to Adrian about the Titans journey and all the important stuff.

It's the 5th of November - go and read some history! This week, we have Innes, Anthony, and Jeremy talking about all things competitive Warhammer. We have the latest stats from the weekend of 40k, with our 3rd week of the new balance update in who's on top? We talk about events we've been to and are preparing for - come on out and wish Anthony the best of luck at Cali Cup!

It's time to talk about Challengers Cup! Anthony makes a brief appearance to talk about his 3-1-1 run with Deceptors then scoots out of the way for Kicker (formerly of FLG, now independent). Kicker talks about the new Challengers Cup team event coming up in September 2025 which will be the largest 8-player team event ever!
