Morning Shift is sitting down with all 10 candidates who want to replace Lisa Madigan as Illinois Attorney General to hear about their backgrounds, their platforms and their aspirations for the office.  State representative Scott Drury is the only Democrat in the state of Illinois who did not vote to re-elect Chicago lawmaker and powerbroker Michael Madigan to be Speaker of the House in Springfield for the 17th time. The move last year cost him: he was stripped of his chairmanship of the judiciary committee, which oversees legislation on legal issues, a topic he’s well-versed in as a former federal prosecutor. Drury entered the race for Illinois governor, but dropped out to run for Attorney General after Lisa Madigan decided not to run for a fifth term. Morning Shift talks to Scott Drury about why he wants to be the state’s top lawyer.
