This week we have Raul Jimenez, a Miami based SoulCycle instructor and recently now also a trainer at Kamps fit. Prior to his career in the fitness industry, Raul was actually on track to become a professional clarinetist and we get into his whole journey on parting ways with an old dream and pursuing something that felt more in line with his current interests
We talk about always choosing to be honest with yourself, identifying the difference between resistance and truly knowing you have had enough, the importance of staying curious and questioning the status quo, understanding that our interests and active ingredients evolve as we evolve, making time for silence to nurture the relationship with yourself to really understand what your gut is trying to tell you, always going back to the why behind anything you are doing in life and reframing the question of who you want to be in 5 years to how do you want to FEEL in this life.
