I'm adding a lot of great titles to the collection this week and thanks to Dark Sky Selects one of you watching the live stream will win a copy of Hatchet: The Complete Collection for yourself. I love doing like giveaways so this should be a fun stream.
I have always has a soft spot in my heart for the art of animation ever since I was a child. That love has never gone away and it's the genre of film that can really take any shape and any genre. Today my guest D.J. from Films By Color and I will talk about Fantastic Planet From The Criterion Collection as well as how organizing your collection is just another vessel to show off your personality.
This week I'm adding 14 titles to the collection. 10 of which come from boutique companies and three of the other four are 4K titles. We are going to go over each title and talk about each one.
Being able to reminisce in nostalgia is a priceless feeling that I personally can't get enough of. Watching and collecting physical media is a great way to go back in time and my guest on today's podcast Matt McCarthy also shares those feelings as well. Not only has he been a part of great projects like The Other Guys, Conan, Curb Your Enthusiasm & Brooklyn Nine-Nine just to name a few he also has a large following on Tiktok where is watches a random VHS tape a day to see what buried treasures he can dig up.
We have 15 diferent releases to talk about in this week's NRRU 6 of these releases are in the kung-fu genre and 7 of which are from a boutique label including one of my favorite box sets of the year so far. Should be a fun discussion and I'm also going to record this live with #5. This series has always been a test bed of sorts so let me know what format you prefer more in the comments. Also if you want to see the first four parts make sure to check out my Youtube Page.
While there are not a lot of steelbooks coming out in the month of June there sure are a lot that I will be picking up. Which steelbooks are you planning on picking up this month?
I love collecting physical media from boutique labels and I always love discovering new labels to check out. Terror Vision has one of the best brand personalities that I've come across in the medium so that is why I'm excited to talk with Brad Henderson today to get more insight on the history of the company as well as talk about what it takes to acquire the rights to release a movie.

Imprint Films is a boutique label doesn't get enough love. They release some titles that would be lost to time and even though they are an Australian company all of their titles are region free. Today my guest Tony from BasementBlus and myself dig into one of their beautiful box sets with Barfly.
I'll be honest... black and white movies are always so intimidating to me. Even though the majority that I have seen have ended up being wonderful I definitely have to be in the right mind set to press play. Lucky for me today's guest Mark from TheThirdHouse is giving me a reason to watch a Orson Welles directed film The Magnificent Ambersons. We also get into movie and poster collecting, working at a movie theater and a stellar discussion on the importance of physical media.
Idle Hands has been a movie that has been on my watchlist for a very long time. It stars so many actors that I love (Devon Sawa, Seth Green, Jessica Alba etc) and I love when humor and horror are blended just right. Well thanks to my guest Parker McNerney (Bluraydaddy if ya nasty) that has changed.
