Steelbook Obsessed

Unlike any other genre Horror has been able to create amazing and memorable characters that have been able to live in the minds of millions decades after their creation. Today myself and David from Durant Cinema will attempt to rank some of hollywood's most infamous horror icons while showcasing the movies that we have in our collection along the way.

Ever since 2017 myself and a group of friends have tried to guess what the top 10 grossing movies of the summer will be. It's a fun excuse to get together but is also a great way to talk about what movies are coming out from May to August. With a new Deadpool, Mad Max, Planet Of The Apes, Despicable Me, Inside Out, and so many more movies coming out this summer it should be a great discussion.

True Romance is such a special movie that gets better for me every time I watch it. From the performances to the directing something about this just feels like you are watching a dream. Well tonight Mega Mike The Movie Man is invading my dream to help talk about this amazing movie and transfer from Arrow Video.

Umbrella Entertainment has been one of my favorite boutique labels to collect for the past couple of years. Their releases have constantly been top notch in both packaging and disc content. I had the pleasure of talking with the general manager at Umbrella Entertainment Ari Harrison about where the company sees itself going and growing, how their movie production side has seen huge success with the releases of Talk To Me & Late Night With The Devil and touch upon when Peter Jackson will release his back catalog on bluray and 4K

Normally I talk about my love of physical media but on this episode I had the pleasure of talking with someone who breaks news in Hollywood. I have been a fan of Jeff Sneider for years now so being able to talk with him for an hour is something that I'm able to check off the bucket list. Hopefully you all enjoy listening to his stories from the industry.

This is the first time that I have seen Legend and truly I had no idea what I was getting myself into. Today my guest M1ss_Jess and I will go over this fantasy film in detail and all of the great special features from Arrow Video.

I fell in love with Enjoy The Ride Records & ETR Media ever since I picked up my copy of Goldenera on Blu-ray with that phenomenal N64 inspired slipcover. Ever since then I have been a man obsessed with building this collection up. Today I have the pleasure of talking with Ross Shotland President of Enjoy The Ride Records and pick his brain about how he decided to start this business, the challenges of producing physical media (vinyl, cassette tapes & blu-rays) and touch on every single piece that I have in my collection.

This month's steelbook releases are a pretty equal mix of reprints and new releases. Because of this I have a lot of titles to show you in more detail so that you can decide if you want to pick up these releases for yourself.

A few months ago I binged In Search Of Darkness II & III on Shudder and absolutely loved hearing about horror movies that I loved and discovering new movies to watch as well. When I heard that the same creative team is now working on a documentary on my favorite movie of all time The Thing I could not be more excited.

Today I have the pleasure of talking with Founder & CEO of CREATORVC Robin Block whose company has made some amazing movie documentaries. We are going to be talking about the creative process of coming up with ideas for projects, how crowdfunding has changed the movie making process and what the future holds for the company.
