The fashionable musical spotlights 1960s counterculture where Black artists like Diana Ross and The Supremes, and Marvin Gaye redefined fashion, music, aesthetics and culture in Civil Rights era America. With mermaid dresses, Swarovski crystals, denim western suits and synthetic bouffant wigs it is fair to say the Dreamettes slay the 'Dolly Girl' look.
