In Luke 1 we see the events that begin the birth of Jesus. We can see how Luke gives much more detail to the birth narrative. We see Luke’s introduction in the first few verses. Then, we see the birth of John the baptizer foretold in verses 5-25. Starting in verse 26 and going through verse 38 we see the angel visit Mary. In verses 39-45 we see Mary visit Elizabeth. In verses 46-56 we we see Mary’s Magnificat (this literally means “magnifies” from her first few words.). In verses 57- 66 John the baptizer is born and then in verses 67-79 is his father, Zechariah’s, prophesy. Verse 80 wraps up this chapter.

In Numbers 15 we see instructions about sacrificed. Remember the Lord is holy and eventually Jesus became our perfect sacrifice. Beginning in verse 32 we see the execution of a sabbath breaker. In verses 37-41 we see teaching on tassels.

In Mark 16 we see Jesus’ resurrection. Our Savior Lives!

In Numbers 14 we see the people’s rebellion. They regret leaving Egypt. Beginning in verse 13 Moses intercedes for the people. Beginning in verse 20 and going through verse 38 we see the judgment of God. In verses 39-45 the people are defeated in battle.

In Mark 15 we see Jesus delivered to Pilate (verses 1-5), then Pilate delivers Jesus to be crucified in verses 6-15. Jesus is mocked in verses 16-20. We see the crucifixion in verses 21-32. In verses 33-47 we see the death and burial of Jesus.

In Numbers 13 we see the spies sent out to Canaan. We see them sent out in verses 1-24. In verses 25-33 we see their report and the response.

In Mark 14 we start to see the plot to kill Jesus. Jesus is anointed at Bethany in verses 3-9. In verse 10 Jesus is betrayed by Judas. In verses 12-21 Jesus begins the Passover with the disciples. In verses 22-25 we see the institution of the Lord’s supper. In verses 26-31 Jesus foretells Peter’s denial. In verses 32-42 Jesus prays in Gethsemane. Jesus betrayal and arrest begins. In verses 66-72 Peter denies Jesus.

In Numbers 12 Miriam and Aaron oppose Moses.

In Mark 13 Jesus gives instructions about the end of time. Though, first, in verses 1-2, Jesus foretells the destruction of the temple. In verses 3-13 He begins to talk about the signs of the end of the age. In verses 14-23 He talks about the abomination of desolation which is the antichrist’s desolation of God’s temple. In verses 24-27, He teaches on His second coming. In verses 28-31 Jesus gives lessons from the fig tree. In verses 32-36 Jesus teaches that no one knows the day or hour.

In Numbers 11 we see the people begin to protest. Between Numbers 11:1-12:16 we see three protests. In Numbers 11:16-30 we see the establishment of elders to help Moses.
