  • Bringing Hope Home

In the face of certain death from his addiction, J.B. admitted himself to a treatment center 3000 miles away in California. While there, he experienced a different form of treatment that he hadn’t seen in the Midwest. After his time in rehab he stayed in California and began working in the addiction treatment field. Hotel California by the Sea is an organization where J.B. really began to see the innovation in substance use rehabilitation. With the blessing and support of the corporate office, he developed a business plan and brought this model back to his hometown of Cincinnati. In 2018 Hotel California by the Sea-Cincinnati opened for business and they are growing. He was met with a lot of opposition and criticism when he went on this quest, but this was fuel for his success. J.B. is an extremely driven individual and he takes us through his inspirational journey during his episode.

  • King Kong

Will has spent 22 years of his life incarcerated and a lot of his life in active addiction. One of his children gave him an ultimatum that convinced him to get control of his life. After spending some time in treatment, Will got the opportunity to work in a new recovery program within a local maximum security detention center. One amazing fact that he talks about is that he was the only parolee in the country that had keys to a maximum security prison. He has become a beacon of hope for so many and a resource to help others.
