    - Nvidia (NVDA) infringes five patents that cover data-center networking products and related technology, a licensing company alleged. PulseLink Systems LLC said Nvidia knew about its asserted patents since at least May, when the patent licensing company sent formal notice letters to Nvidia executives. PulseLink seeks actual, compensatory, exemplary, supplementary, and enhanced damages for alleged willful infringement, as well as costs, expenses, and other fees. Meanwhile, Nvidia is launching the biggest share buyback in US corporate history as the Silicon Valley chipmaker continues to reap huge profits from its perch at the top of the AI supply chain.

    - Paramount Skydance (PSKY) has attracted demand more than three times the expected size of its blue-chip bond offering to help fund its acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery. Investors had placed more than $109 billion of orders for the deal when the books closed Tuesday afternoon, or 3.4 times the amount anticipated to be sold. The US media giant is seeking to raise about $32 billion from the sale, which would be the fifth-largest US high-grade sale on record

    - Fair Isaac (FICO) the credit score company known as FICO, fell as much as 29%, the most intraday ever in data back to 1988, after Federal Housing Finance Agency Director Bill Pulte announced a move that makes it easier for lenders to adopt VantageScore. According to analysts, this will increase competition while pressuring FICO’s market share and pricing power.

    - Carnival (CCL) shares jump as much as 14% on Tuesday, the most intraday since April 8, after the cruise line operator boosted its adjusted earnings per share forecast for the full year. The company said both booked occupancy and pricing are at record levels for 2027, while 2028 is “off to an excellent start at higher occupancy and prices than last year.”

    - CarMax (KMX) shares rose after the company reported comparable used-vehicle sales that expanded more than expected, showing its revival efforts are taking hold. Gross profit generated from used vehicle sales grew for the first time in five quarters, while the company sold more used vehicles in the quarter than analysts projected. CarMax plans to resume share buybacks in the third quarter of the year and will host a strategic update in November to talk about its new business strategies.

Jefferies' CEO and President said they remain confident in the long-term outlook for the business as they continue to reposition the platform by reducing capital allocated to certain existing funds.

    - Jefferies Financial Group (JEF) stock traders set a quarterly revenue record, fueling better-than-expected profit. Fiscal third-quarter equity-trading revenue surged 29% from a year earlier to $626 million, and the investment-banking business hit a record with revenue rising 17% to $1.3 billion. Earnings per share totaled $1.08 in the three months through August, surpassing the $1 average estimate of analysts in a Bloomberg survey
