Chris is joined by Mark, Tim and Rob on Stonescast 72 on the back of three straight wins that have seen the Stones inch out of the relegation zone and start to believe that survival is possible.
Wins at braintree and ebbsfleet are reviewed, before looking ahead to Tamworth and Rochdale after the Boston game fell foul of the weather.
New manager Neil Gibson's burgeoning relationship with the fans is praised and is contrasted with the ongoing travails of former manager Matt Taylor who seems intent on turning Solihull into relegation rivals. We shouldn't care but we secretly do...
Jermain Jenas makes a surprise return and there is plenty of full kit wankerdom and badge kissing on show #UTS
"All fart and no poo..."
Oh Lordy, what have we done? Yes, after much cajoling, we've relaxed our otherwise iron clad and water-tight criteria for our podcasts, and let a bunch of yooful herberts take control of the ship. What could possibly go wrong?
Yes, it's the "K-Unit" edition finally, and what can we say? The kids have been let off the leash and given carte blanche to do and say whatever they like. We did ask what the "K-Unit" thing was all about, and we wished we hadn't as they actually told us. You'll have to listen to find out the background.
Anyway, no synopsis about this episode, basically because we really couldn't put it into words, well not words that make any sense anyway. Perhaps they are on point with our modus operandi after all!
Dive in and judge for yourself as Riv, Cam, Teach, Pied Piper and the 4th Official take us on a wonderful journey of discovery though the disturbing minds of our future fan base!
In this first StonesCast special, Adam Hills sits down with Wealdstone legend Alex Dyer to walk through his fascinating career to date; a career which has seen the midfielder amass approaching 300 appearances for the Stones across two spells.
We focus in on Alex's time in Sweden where he captained relative minnows Ostersunds FK on their journey to the Swedish top-level under Graham Potter as well as his experience representing Montserrat at international level.
Finally, we really hone in on what playing for Wealdstone is like and what has kept Alex coming back for the last four seasons. It's a genuinely fun and insightful hour or so and we hope you enjoy.
As always, please share your comments below or feedback via X @Stonescast85
Here the panel of Adam Hills, Chris Cone, Alex Kilroy and debutante Tomas Matthews come together to chew over Neil Gibson's first week or so at the club, the frustrating draw with Solihull and the disaster versus Tamworth.
We're joined by Mickey from the brilliant 'Heed Army' podcast to look ahead to this weekend's home fixture against Gateshead and finally look at the remaining fixtures and ask ourselves where we're going to get 24 points from.

"The following Saturday we're at home to Solihull, who have just lost their manager..."
The cast is back with your usual dose of chin wagging about Wealdstone FC. In this episode:
Part One 00:00
The chaps discuss the arrival of two new loanees, and a youngster who's stepped up from the academy to the first team. Then it's onto the reviews of Sutton away and our freakish equaliser and Hartlepool at home.
Part Two 27:30
It's onto the previews of Fylde away, Solihull (ah-hum) at home and Tamworth away. Then it's a look back at the success of the Her Game Too fixture last weekend, a touch base about what's going on in the Supporters Club at the moment, and discuss the potential merger at Bedford, where some frankly shocking opinions come to light.
Mark's in the chair with Wobs, Tim and Luca along for he ride. Shame they didn't know this cast would be out of date the moment it was released when they were recording it.
"I'm well known around the club..."
Happy New Year folks and welcome back to the cast. Let's get down to business!
Part One 00:00
We kick off this episode with the famous Wycombe FA Cup ticket wind-up that our caster Alex endured earlier this season, and it's a gold plated wind-up that everybody should know about.
Then we get down to the nuts and bolts as we look back at Oldham away, Daggers at home, and the Magpies away. We discuss the Eastmond Factor, the Boston PP on NYD, and pay homage to Alex Reid and the impact he made during his loan period with us. Where do we go from here?
Part Two 55:30
Then moving on we discussed our centre back partnership, and we wave goodbye to a few players either leaving or returning to their parent clubs after their loan are up.
We look back over the first half of the season and discuss if we're happy or not with where we are, and then look back at our highlights of 2024. There were some humdingers to reminisce about.
And finally a quick look forwards to Alty and Sutton away, and to Hartlepool at ome which is our designated Her Game Too fixture of the season, a campaign we feel strongly about and completely support.
This time it's Sudhir as the ring leader of the circus featuring Alex, Dave and Jez.
"He's one of those players who gets better when he isn't playing"
It's a middle-youth take over Xmas cast that we have for you this time, featuring a bunch of young scallywags. Well we say "young" but it's quite plain to see using the word "youth" to describe this lot is somewhat of a mental leap of faith.
But anyway, they've got things to say, and it isn't the usual bunch of old fogies and their tales of the 50's or other ancient periods of our clubs illustrious history.
It's straight into looking back at the FAC game against Wycombe, the NLC game against Derby, exit at the Shots in the FAT and the six goal NL thriller under the lights against our old sparring partners Alty.
Once again the keeper situation gets an airing, and it's frankly bonkers how this seems to be coming up every other episode this season. What on earth is going on?
And then we look forwards to the trip to Oldham this Saturday and the upcoming festive fixtures against Daggers, Magpies and the Pilgrims do get your turkey juices running.
It's a packed room as we squeeze 6 (six) oiks into the room and try to get some sense out of them. It's Chris doing his best to keep order of Akhil, Tom, Nikhil, Rob and Leo.
"In my fantasy wet dream..."
Cup fever hits the cast with the hotly anticipated FA Cup 2nd Round fixture against high flying Wycombe Wanderers hoving into view on the horizon.
But first, it's a quick catch up on our recent games against Rochdale and Eastleigh and our much improved points tally and performances.
Then the bulk of the cast gets understandably onto the subject of Saturday as the excitement builds. We look at the huge task ahead of us as we face a Wycombe side that is in impressive form. What makes them tick and so dangerous, and what do we do to counter that. Also there's mentions about previous early morning kick-offs deep from the clubs history.
And in closing there's the much more important fixture against Derby in the NLC and Aldershot in the Trophy to get you all salivating in anticipation!
Tim is in the chair, aided and abetted by Adam, Rio and River. They're all buzzing for the weekend, but then again, who isn't?
" A few precious gems set in amongst the impenetrable quartz..."
Which, let's be fair, sums up most of our casts if we're honest.
We're back, and there's not much to really talk about so this should be a quick one. So let's not beat about the bush and get a wiggle on!
Part 1 00:00
First up it's meet the newbie as we get good old Cookie (no, not that one, everyone's second favourite Wealdstone related Cookie) to open his heart and briefly tell us his backstory.
Then onto the nuts and bolts. The away FAC game at Grimsby which started out on paper as a bit of a damp squib, and turned into one of the great Stones away days, And then the trip to Shots last Saturday and our well deserved 3 points there. Plus there's the NLC game midweek against Fulham. Exciting stuff!
Part 2 35:00
Onto the previews with matches against Dale at home, Eastleigh away and then Tamworth at home.
We have a look at recent player developments as Dreher departs, Hutch and Scotty go out on loan, and Dion is recalled. Also, what's the situation with Sam in the sticks? Questions are asked about the clubs communication when it comes to such matters.
And finally, it's looking forwards to Wycombe at home in the cup, on the telly, at stupid o'clock in the morning. What do we all think about that then? Also, Pete reminds us all about the elephant in the room. It's been a year since the new stadium plans were announced, and there's been scant news? Is anything happening? We assume it must but it would be nice to hear something official from the club just to reassure the fan base, and something with more reach than a small post on the fans forum. More comms please!
Hydey is back in the hot seat for tonight's episode, with regulars PA Pete, Rob and fresh blood Paul giving their take on things. Oh, and what sounds like Bob Fleming in the background chipping in when he should be googling instead. We just can't get the staff.
