Huzzah! The new season has arrived, and we're back in the Captains Lounge to bring you once again a fans eye view of everything Wealdstone.

Firstly we scootch through our pre-season schedule in what we agreed was probably against the strongest opposition we've faced for quite some years, and what we've learnt from that. We also touch upon the drunken antics of a couple of our casters at Farnborough, where one went AWOL whilst another one ended up in A & E.

Then we cast our eyes over the squad going into the League Programme, those we've retained and those who have been convinced to join us. How are we shaping up?

Oozing with positivity we discuss the upcoming games, York (H), Eastleigh (A) and Bromley (A). How are we going to stack up against what on paper looks like a tough triple header to start with. Also we have an goosie at the 6 new sides joining us in the League this year and how we think they'll get on.

In our usual AOB segment to close out proceedings we touch upon the club getting a new MP and what do we think he can do for the club, discuss where we think we'll finish this season, and look longingly at the FA Trophy with thoughts of a teary eyed trip to Wembley, or would a successful campaign in the Middlesex Senior Cup be just as satisfying for some of our older fans.
It's a lot to get through with ring leader Mark cracking the whip, and performing seals Dave, Alex and Rob doing their best to keep the spinning balls perched on their noses.
New season? Bring it on!

The season has concluded, and all there is to do is tie up the loose ends before the summer break.

Four games to review, and it might help if we could remember them all. Fortunately between the lot of them we get an inkling of the Home fixtures against Shots, Dorking and Solihull plus the season ending shindig at Southend.

We chew over our selection of our PotS, Alex Dyer and the other players who ran him close for the big prize.
Then it's onto how we view our management team since end of last season, and why we just trust them to do their job without question any more, and we chat about the many points raised in the MT cast we recorded with them recently.
Also, looking at the squad, and the spectre of the "retained list" the question is all about our "marquee" signings and how they've performed.

In this special episode of the cast we are graced with the presence of our management team, Stu and Matt, and our PotS Alex Dyer. The season is coming to a close and we get to touch base and look back over what's happened this year and ask all the questions you want answering.

We get a quick update about Corie Andrews following the  worrying incident at home to Solihull on Tuesday and then it's on to business.
It's all about the dynamics of the group as a collective, and the MT trusting the players and being honest with them.
Management of expectation against hope, and the matter of playing with quality and how fine margins can influence the results.
Alex talks about his time in Sweden and how it compares to his time now back with Wealdstone.

The question of the "the retained list" and how many of the current squad can we expect to see next season.
Stu doesn't like the term "free hits" and explains why, plus why being often regarded as "underdogs" does us no favours with the officials in the NL.
Then the boys talk about our loan players and their importance, and how the MT identify what loan players we want to bring in and what attributes they are looking for.
Plus there's the disappointment of losing Miquel back to his parent club and why it's left a bit of a bitter taste in the mouth.

The back end of the season is upon us, when does the fatigue kick in, and how long do the MT and players genuinely take off over the summer.
Alex explains how he balances his business interests whilst also making sure he keeps his mind on his football.
How does the lease situation affect the MT or the players? Does it make a difference?
Plus Tim has some encouraging news regarding the subject that you will be pleased to hear...
Looking at the clubs coming up and who the MT would like to see joining us in the NL next season, and which of them will be able to bridge the gulf between step 2 and step 1.
Matty then explains what our "outcome based" philosophy actually means (though the downpour happening outside).
Alex then reflects on his club and international career and some of his highlights and our ground breaking 1-7-2 formation.
And just when Tim thought it was all over we suddenly remember we've got another game to play this season.
