"Throughout my career in research everything points to a plant based diet being the absolute best for longevity"
Why are you interested in a plant-based lifestyle? So often the answer I get to this question is so one can be around longer.
Longevity is not about living to be 100. Longevity is about living as many years as possible doing the things we love in good health, without chronic disease. And my guest and I agree that a plant-based lifestyle is the way to do it.
I am thrilled to welcome Hannah Van Ark, MS RDN, whose work in longevity and heart health nutrition research inspired her to adopt a plant-forward lifestyle. This change transformed her own health and grew into a passion for helping others do the same. She uses plant-forward and flexible nutrition to guide her clients toward finding their body’s healthiest weight, while improving their heart health and boosting longevity along the way.
Hannah highlights some of the key factors that may effect our longevity including:
1. Heart Health
2. Fiber Intake & Gut Health
3. What We Can Learn from the Blue Zones
